AEW Double or Nothing 2021 Spoilers

AEW World Championship Match: Kenny Omega (c) vs. PAC or Orange Cassidy

Kenny Omega is retaining this title. There's absolutely no way either man wins the belt from him unless Omega randomly gets injured ahead of time. Even then, it wouldn't be a certainty.

The way I see it, unless Daniel Bryan, Samoa Joe, CM Punk or someone else like that comes into AEW, the one and only option to dethrone Omega is "Hangman" Adam Page. It has to be him and it should be at All Out after building up to that fever pitch.

PAC and Orange Cassidy are two people who will have a great match with Omega, for sure, and all of them together will be just as good, if not better, than the singles match options. This doesn't have a strong storyline, in my mind, but I'm down to watch the action.

PREDICTION: Kenny Omega wins.

AEW Women's World Championship Match: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.

Shida's had the title a long time. The longest time of anyone so far by 2.5x. I think it's okay for her to drop the belt, particularly to the biggest heel who happens to be the top of the division, has seemed like the go-to option for the next champion for a long while, and was the first woman to join the company.

If this doesn't happen, I'm utterly confused about who takes the title from Shida.

PREDICTION: Britt Baker wins.

Cody Rhodes vs. Anthony Ogogo

Cody Rhodes will be going by "The American Dream" for this match. A good part of me says there's no way after that promo he cut that he's going to lose and make it seem like it's a statement against the United States. However, it's just wrestling and if they want to get some more heat, they should have Ogogo win and play into the xenophobia.

PREDICTION: Cody Rhodes wins.

Casino Battle Royale

Competitors announced so far = Anthony Bowens vs. Brian Pillman Jr. vs. Christian Cage vs. Colt Cabana vs. Dustin Rhodes vs. Evil Uno vs. Griff Garrison vs. Isiah Kassidy vs. Jungle Boy vs. Lee Johnson vs. Marq Quen vs. Matt Hardy vs. Matt Sydal vs. Max Caster vs. Nick Comoroto vs. Penta El Zero Miedo vs. Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Preston Vance vs. QT Marshall vs. The Blade vs. TBA

Assuming we have all the participants except the mystery person, we have the same rule of thumb as always in that the TBA competitor is the one you have to assume has the biggest momentum. However, I'd say there's a good chance this comes down to Christian Cage, Jungle Boy, Penta El Zero Miedo and the mystery person.

PREDICTION: Christian Cage wins.

Stadium Stampede Match: The Pinnacle vs. The Inner Circle

If The Inner Circle loses, they have to disband. It isn't the same for The Pinnacle. Therefore, it's more likely The Pinnacle loses this as they have nothing to lose, rather than to get rid of The Inner Circle.

Then again, maybe The Inner Circle has run its course. Maybe that's the end of this group and they want to put a stamp on it by having to break apart by force, rather than just fizzle out. It's not like this company hasn't already given us these ultimatums before and actually followed through with them. Hell, this week, SCU lost and they'll be disbanding as a tag team.

I'm about 70/30 on this. I do think The Inner Circle wins and sticks around, but I honestly wouldn't be shocked if the opposite happened.

PREDICTION: The Inner Circle wins.

Brian Cage vs. "Hangman" Adam Page

This feels rather "whatever, just do it" to me. Yeah, they're names and they're great, but what's the hook other than "Don't you want to see the match?" That's always been a criticism of mine in regards to AEW. Sometimes, these matches just happen for the sake of it, and I don't think that should be the case on pay-per-views. Why isn't Christian Cage facing Brian Cage instead, after they've had more of a feud?

PREDICTION: Adam Page wins.

TNT Championship Match: Miro (c) vs. Lance Archer

Does anyone else think this felt kind of rushed and Miro should have won the TNT Championship from Darby Allin earlier? That setup could have been much, much better. However, I'm still interested to see these two go at it. Hopefully, they'll just beat the tar out of each other.

PREDICTION: Miro wins.

Darby Allin and Sting vs. Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky

Since this isn't a cinematic match, there's a chance it has a different vibe to it that could be far better or far worse that what we've seen. I'm hesitant to trust it'll be great, to be honest. Sting being in a tag team match feels more like it's to compensate for him not being able to do too much on his own, so I'm expecting something kind of clunky instead of smooth.

PREDICTION: Darby Allin and Sting win.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: The Young Bucks (c) vs. Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley

There's absolutely no way Kingston and Moxley win these titles, right? The Young Bucks are too hot as heels to lose right now. They should have a fight on their hands, though, and I'm excited to see what they do together. But Kingston's eventually taking the pin.

PREDICTION: The Young Bucks retain.

(Buy In) NWA Women's World Championship Match: Serena Deeb (c) vs. Riho

Decent means to get another women's match on the card and strengthen the bond between NWA and AEW. I'm down for it. Riho, as a former AEW women's champion, is a rock solid contender that people are familiar enough with and would be invested in seeing potentially win the title. She's not going to do that, as it wouldn't make sense for her to be the champion of a company she doesn't participate in, but then again, Kenny Omega holds the Impact Wrestling Championship, so you never know for sure. Still, I'm banking on Deeb holding the belt until she drops it on an actual NWA show to someone on the NWA roster.

PREDICTION: Serena Deeb retains.
