WWE Power Rankings Top 10 Superstars This Week: #325 - Stumbling Up The TLC Ladder

Posted by Callum Wiggins Saturday, December 19, 2020

Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all

+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week

- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week

Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

10. Toni Storm [NR]

Renewing their old rivalry from NXT UK, only with the heel-face dynamic turned on its head, Toni Storm defeated Rhea Ripley in Wednesday's main event thanks to some timely interference by Raquel Gonzalez.

9. The Street Profits [NR]

The Street Profits' domination of the tag team scene in 2020 continued on this week's SmackDown, as they successfully defended their SmackDown Tag Team Championships over the veteran team of Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode.

8. Tommaso Ciampa [+2]

Tommaso Ciampa secured his third victory in 2 weeks on Wednesday's show, beating the debuting Tyler Rust before once again attracting the ire of Timothy Thatcher.

7. Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez [-1]

While she didn't have her own match this week, Raquel Gonzalez made her presence felt in the main event of NXT, attacking Rhea Ripley to allow Toni Storm to defeat her long-time rival.

6. The Way [+1]

NXT's newest faction started this week's NXT strongly, with Johnny Gargano & Austin Theory teaming up for a win over Kushida & Leon Ruff. However, it wasn't a perfect night for the foursome, as Indi Hartwell couldn't get the better of Shotzi Blackheart later in the show.

5. Roman Reigns [-1]

Roman Reigns and his cousin Jey Uso spent the whole of SmackDown absolutely destroying Kevin Owens in any way imaginable. But, with Owens still breathing at the end of the night, Reigns will still have to defend his Universal Championship at TLC.

4. Asuka [-3]

Asuka finds herself without a partner at TLC following the latest edition of Raw, as Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax decimated Lana, leaving her hospitalized. Now, the Raw Women's Champion will need to find a replacement if she has a hope of winning the Women's Tag Team Championships again.

3. The Undisputed Era [+2]

There will be an NXT TakeOver 31 rematch at New Year's Evil as Kyle O'Reilly won an epic match over Pete Dunne on Wednesday to earn another opportunity at Finn Balor's NXT Championship.

2. The Hurt Business [+1]

Although it wasn't a flawless night for The Hurt Business on Monday with MVP falling to defeat against Riddle, the combination of Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander were victorious against Jeff Hardy & The New Day.

1. AJ Styles [+1]

AJ Styles has all of the momentum heading into his shot at Drew McIntyre and the WWE Championship at TLC. On Raw, he defeated McIntyre's pal Sheamus in the show's opener, and closed the show by working with Miz & Morrison to beat up the champion and send him through a table.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Lana - Lana scored a big win over Nia Jax on Raw, but paid the price in the form of a vicious beatdown by the Women's Tag Team Champions.

Miz & Morrison - The Miz & John Morrison won a Handicap Match on Raw over Keith Lee, and continued to be a thorn in the side of Drew McIntyre.

The Riott Squad - Another week, another win for The Riott Squad over a makeshift team containing Billie Kay, this time featuring Tamina.

Otis - Although Chad Gable's coaching is proving somewhat counter-productive, Otis did get the win over Shinsuke Nakamura on SmackDown.

Bayley - In Friday night's main event, Bayley scored a win over Bianca Belair, thanks to a timely rake in the eyes.

The Power Rankings Table (since WrestleMania 36)

  1. Drew McIntyre - 35 weeks (8 weeks at #1)
  2. Asuka - 32 weeks (11 weeks at #1)
  3. Sasha Banks - 25 weeks (8 weeks at #1)
