WWE Power Rankings Top 10 Superstars This Week: #315 - The Backlash From Clash Of Champions | Smark Out Moment

Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all

+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week

- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week

Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

10. Johnny Gargano [NR]

Johnny Gargano built momentum for his North American Championship opportunity at NXT TakeOver 31 by pinning the champ Damian Priest in the main event Mixed Tag Match on Wednesday.

9. The Street Profits [NR]

For the 2,517th time in the last 12 months, The Street Profits successfully defended their Raw Tag Team Championships against the team of Andrade & Angel Garza at Clash of Champions. Any chance we can get new challengers now?

8. Damian Priest [-4]

As noted earlier, Damian Priest suffered a stumbling block on his path to defending his North American Championship at TakeOver 31, being pinned by his challenger Johnny Gargano in a Mixed Tag Team Match.

7. Candice LeRae [+1]

Speaking of that Mixed Tag Team Match, Candice LeRae was on the winning side of this equation with her husband Johnny Gargano, sending a message to her opponent at TakeOver 31, NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai.

6. Sami Zayn [NR]

After weeks of complaining about never losing the Intercontinental Championship, Sami Zayn now officially has the gold back around his waist after winning the Triple Threat Ladder Match at Clash of Champions over Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles. Zayn then enjoyed a successful first title defense on SmackDown over Hardy.

5. The Undisputed Era [+1]

While the spotlight is firmly on Kyle O'Reilly right now as he prepares to battle Finn Balor for the NXT Championship, Adam Cole carried the group's load in the ring this week as he defeated Austin Theory in a competitive contest.

4. The Hurt Business [-1]

As expected, Bobby Lashley beat Apollo Crews at Clash of Champions to retain his iron grip on the United States Championship. However, The Hurt Business didn't have a spotless week, as the following night on Raw Lashley, MVP & Shelton Benjamin were defeated by Crews, Ricochet and Ali.

3. Drew McIntyre [+2]

2 days, 2 successful title defenses for Drew McIntyre. The WWE Champion, with a helping hand from some WWE legends, overcame Randy Orton in their Ambulance Match at Clash of Champions. Then, in an Open Challenge on Raw, McIntyre fought and defeated a returning Robert Roode.

2. Roman Reigns [No Change]

As if there was ever a shred of doubt, Roman Reigns firmly established himself as the top dog on SmackDown and in his family by decimating Jey Uso at Clash of Champions. On SmackDown, the Universal Champion offered his cousin a rematch at Hell in a Cell, which you can only imagine will have a similar outcome.

1. Asuka [No Change]

Raw Women's Champion Asuka batted away the challenge of Zelina Vega at Clash of Champions, and then repeated the feat the following night on Raw. In fact, Asuka even managed to squeeze in a shot at the SmackDown Women's Championship at the PPV, with Bayley only escaping via DQ.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura - On the Clash of Champions Kick-Off Show, Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura defended their SmackDown Tag Team Championships against Lucha House Party. But, they fell short in a Six-Man Tag on Friday night.

Keith Lee - Keith Lee met the open challenge of Andrade on Raw, easily squashing him in this clash of former NXT Champions.

Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke - Arriving on Monday nights, Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke made a good start by beating Raw's resident jobbers Natalya & Lana.

Shotzi Blackheart - Shotzi Blackheart continues to build momentum on NXT, defeating Dakota Kai in a fiercely fought opener to Wednesday's show .

Kushida - Maintaining his newfound aggressive attitude, Kushida handily beat Tony Nese on NXT in preparation for his match with Velveteen Dream at TakeOver 31.
