Champsgiving Tournament 2020: Best Wrestler to Never Win a World Championship in WWE History Qualifying Round | Smark Out Moment

Welcome to the third annual Smark Out Moment 2020 CHAMPSGIVING tournament!

For this edition, I wanted to switch things up. Instead of actually picking a best champion, we're going with people who didn't win a particular title.

The theme for this year is to pit WWE superstars against each other who have never won a world title in WWE/WWF and decide which one of them MOST deserved to have been a world champion.

This means if they won a world title in another company, such as WCW, it doesn't matter. You'll find Vader and Ron Simmons on this list, for instance. It also means that if they won other championships in WWE, such as the Intercontinental Championship, those don't matter. Strictly, the three recognized world titles in WWE history are the WWE Championship, Universal Championship and World Heavyweight Championship. Anyone who won those is ineligible while anyone who didn't is who we're talking about.

To start things off, we have the qualifying round. Heading into this, suggestions were open on the Facebook group The Mega Maniacs and a Darkcast (#13) was recorded to round out the list of names to pick from. Your task is to narrow down the 40 names in the qualifying round to a top 16 who will be on the bracket. The Sweet Sixteen will be seeded based on the number of votes they get in the qualifying round along with a randomizer.

It's time to decide which 16 wrestlers are the best to never win a WWE world title, so go ahead and vote! The poll will be shut off sometime Friday the 30th and Round 1 will begin on Halloween with the finals ending on Black Friday (November 27th).

Here are the names you can choose between for the qualifying round to determine the 16 who will enter the official bracket.

Major Note: The names with a strikethrough were originally in the poll, but were removed Wednesday night. That's a late change, so I'm sorry. It makes no sense for active roster members to be in the running, so they're disqualified. Late judgment call. If you've voted for them, please go back and edit your responses to vote for others, if you'd like. I will keep the poll open an extra day to compensate for this and create the brackets Saturday night or Sunday morning, rather than Friday morning.

TELL US WHAT YOU VOTED FOR AND WHY IN THE COMMENTS BELOW!

Vote on your favorites in the Google Form below. Next week, the tournament will continue with round 1.
