- Drew McIntyre is out as we see a recap of Randy Orton's attack on Ric Flair from last week. He calls Orton's actions unforgiveable. Orton is facing a pissed off McIntyre at SummerSlam, and he will severely hurt him for everyone he has wronged during his career. RETRIBUTION take over the production truck as we experience issues with the feed, which cuts off McIntyre as we go to commercial.
- Drew McIntyre is backstage with a number of wrestlers and shares his anger over RETRIBUTION's actions. Seth Rollins sarcastically claps him and claims to be the Messiah the locker room needs. He notes being WWE Champion doesn't make McIntyre a leader, whilst Ricochet informs Rollins that Rey Mysterio will be turning up tonight. McIntyre threatens to drop Rollins who retreats for his own safety.
- The Hurt Business is in the ring to make a statement. MVP tells RETRIBUTION that The Hurt Business are officially open for business. He calls them out as he isn't scared of them. He accuses Apollo Crews of having something to do with it, with Crews coming out to deny being behind RETRIBUTION. Crews notes MVP cannot beat him without help from The Hurt Business as we go to commercial.
- Apollo Crews defeated Shelton Benjamin by pinfall.
- The Hurt Business attack Apollo Crews, but Mustafa Ali, Ricochet and Cedric Alexander come out to save Crews. They all take out Bobby Lashley as The Hurt Business regroup. R-Truth runs from Akira Tozawa, only to be taken out by Shelton Benjamin.
- Shelton Benjamin defeated R-Truth by pinfall to win the 24/7 Championship.
- MVP offers Apollo Crews a six man elimination tag team match for later on tonight.
- Angel Garza is backstage chatting up Demi Burnett before Ivar invites her to be his +1 for Raw Underground.
- Angel Garza defated Ivar by pinfall.
- Angelo Dawkins appears on the titantron with Demi Burnett. Dawkins threatens Garza with a video and he high tails it from the ring. Samoa Joe informs Zelina Vega that a video has been shared of something which shows how far people are willing to go when no-one is watching. Vega looks as if she has seen a ghost as we go to commerical.
- Angel Garza, Andrade and Zelina Vega turn up to question Angelo Dawkins. Dawkins asks the production team to play the video which shows Zelina Vega poisoning Montez Ford's drink. Vega denies poisoning Ford and accuses Charly Caruso of setting her up. Ford arrives as The Street Profits take out Garza and Andrade.
- Natalya defeated Mickie James by countout.
- After arguing with Samoa Joe, Seth Rollins advises Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio to not turn up tonight.
- Sasha Banks calls herself and Bayley the hardest working superstars in WWE. They can't wait for SummerSlam as they finally get a night off as they call Asuka stupid for believing she can beat the two of them in one night. Nobody can stop them. Shayna Baszler comes out to say that no matter what happens at SummerSlam, whoever is Raw Women's Champion, they are next, whilst Asuka speaks in Japanese before saying she will fight against Baszler once she is Raw Women's Champion.
- Asuka & Shayna Baszler defeated Bayley & Sasha Banks by submission.
- Apollo Crews selects Mustafa Ali, Ricochet and himself for the six man tag team match. Cedric Alexander is upset he hasn't been chosen. Randy Orton arrives once they leave.
- Shawn Michaels tells Drew McIntyre backstage that Randy Orton will use McIntyre's frustration against him at SummerSlam, therefore he needs to focus. McIntyre praises Michaels whilst Michaels tells McIntyre he deserves his current spot and should show everybody how good he is at SummerSlam. Michaels also adds that McIntyre should give him space as he confronts Orton.
- The IIconics and The Riott Squad argue backstage.
- Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke are seen talking to Shayna Baszler backstage.
- A video package highlighting RETRIBUTION is shown.
- Peyton Royce defeated Ruby Riott by pinfall.
- Liv Morgan questions Ruby Riott about what went down during the match.
- Shane McMahon notes it is time for Raw Underground, coming up next.
- Erik defeats a jobber with relative ease. Dolph Ziggler rates the performance as pretty good. Erik invites Ziggler for a fight, which is accepted. Ziggler wins a hotly contested bout with a Sleeper Hold, although Ivar takes out Ziggler in anger.
- Rey Mysterio comes down to the ring flanked by Dominik Mysterio. He shares he has felt pain since Extreme Rules, but witnessing his own flesh and blood in agony was worse than the pain of his eye. He will be in the corner of his son at SummerSlam. Dominik knows what he has to do in order to protect his family. Rollins shows up on the titantron, calling Mysterio an idiot. He adds Mysterio is selfish, but Mysterio encourages Rollins to come down to the ring to back up his words. Rollins accepts and comes down to the ring, with the Mysterio family hastily leaving the ring. Mysterio threatens to enter the ring, but Dominik hits Rollins and Murphy from behind with a kendo stick. Rollins is hit with multiple kendo stick shots from Mysterio and Dominik, with The Monday Night Messiah tied up in the same manner Dominik was last week. Rollins escapes, clearly in great pain.
- MVP approaches Cedric Alexander backstage and stirs the pot.
- Back on Raw Underground and we see Arturo Ruas take on Riddick Moss in a solid bout. Ruas and Moss both take out bystanders after they roll out of the ring, with Shane McMahon calling the action sick.
- Cedric Alexander defeated Shelton Benjamin by pinfall to win the 24/7 Championship.
- Cedric Alexander pounced on Shelton Benjamin during the six man tag team match.
- The Hurt Business defeated Apollo Crews, Mustafa Ali & Ricochet by pinfall.
- Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir are in discussions with Shane McMahon backstage as we go to commercial.
- Cedric Alexander defeated Akira Tozawa by pinfall to retain the 24/7 Championship.
- Shelton Benjamin attacks Cedric Alexander post match.
- Shelton Benjamin defeated Cedric Alexander by pinfall to win the 24/7 Championship.
- Marina Shafir makes her Raw Underground debut and wins easily by submission. Shafir is attacked by Nia Jax which brings out Shayna Baszler. Jax bails on the bout which leaves Baszler, Shafir and Jessamyn Duke standing tall in the Raw Underground ring.
- Andrade is in the ring with Zelina Vega as The Street Profits make their way to the ring, interacting with the Performance Center recruits that surround the ring.
- Montez Ford defeated Andrade by pinfall.
- Shawn Michaels comes down to the ring to address Randy Orton. He shares how Orton reminded everyone of the worst 31 days of Ric Flair's life, adding how The Nature Boy loved performing for the WWE universe. Orton doesn't have the same gratitude and appreciation for Flair that everyone else has, as he feels he is owed Flair's support. Michaels assures Orton that at SummerSlam he will meet his justice at the end of a Sweet Chin Music or Claymore. Orton delivers an RKO and a Punt Kick to Michaels, with Drew McIntyre coming out to scare off Orton. As McIntyre tends to Michaels he is attacked by Orton, however McIntyre slams Orton into the steel post and plexiglass. Orton is also sent into the announce table before McIntyre returns to the ring to tend to Michaels. Orton sneaks in and delivers an RKO to McIntyre. They stare each other down as we end the show.
