Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:
NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all
+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week
- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week
Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut
10. The Big Show [NR]
Is this 2020 or 2002? Because on Raw this week, The Big Show handily defeated two of the red brand's hottest prospects, Andrade & Angel Garza (who, lest we forget, are the next contenders for the Raw Tag Team Championships), in a Handicap Match. I hope that match with Randy Orton at Extreme Rules is worth this baffling booking.
9. Tegan Nox [NR]
In the opener to NXT's Great American Bash special, Tegan Nox survived a Fatal Four-Way Elimination Match against Dakota Kai, Mia Yim and Candice LeRae to become the next contender for Io Shirai's NXT Women's Championship.
8. Apollo Crews [-3]
After several weeks of impressive results and performances, Apollo Crews' momentum came to a shuddering halt on Monday as he was pinned by MVP, albeit thanks to some assistance by Bobby Lashley.
7. Io Shirai [NR]
In the highly-anticipated main event of this week's NXT, Io Shirai successfully defended her NXT Women's Championship against Sasha Banks, with her compatriot Asuka providing a welcome assist to even the odds of Bayley being at ringside.
6. Bobby Lashley & MVP [NR]
It was a great Monday for the duo of Bobby Lashley & MVP. First, the veteran MVP scored a surprising win over the United States Champion Apollo Crews, thanks in part to Lashley's interference. Not to be outdone, Lashley then marked down his own victory by defeating Ricochet.
5. Drew McIntyre [-1]
While we can all anticipate a rise up the Power Rankings when Drew McIntyre inevitably dispatches of Dolph Ziggler at Extreme Rules, for now the WWE Champion takes a tumble after losing a Mixed Tag that pitted him and Asuka against Ziggler and Sasha Banks.
4. AJ Styles [NR]
AJ Styles set the record straight after his shock loss to Drew Gulak a couple of weeks ago by successfully defending his Intercontinental Championship against Gulak on Friday's edition of SmackDown.
3. The Kabuki Warriors [-1]
The momentum swung away from Raw Women's Champion Asuka on Monday in the build to her title defense against Sasha Banks at Extreme Rules. Teaming with WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, Asuka tasted defeat to Banks and Dolph Ziggler when she was rolled up by The Boss.
2. Braun Strowman [+1]
Braun Strowman benefits this week by practically everyone else falling around him on the Power Rankings. The Universal Champion's absence on Friday meant he was in no risk of suffering a loss like so many others on last week's list.
1. The Golden Role Models [No Change]
As reliable as the sun rising every morning, Bayley & Sasha Banks' stranglehold on the Power Rankings continues. On Monday, Banks teamed with Dolph Ziggler to defeat Asuka and Drew McIntyre, while on SmackDown, Bayley scored a DQ victory over Alexa Bliss. However, it wasn't complete plain sailing this week, as Banks couldn't capture the NXT Women's Championship on Wednesday, falling to Io Shirai following an assist from Asuka.
HONORABLE MENTIONS
R-Truth - Akira Towaza's reign as 24/7 Champion was a short and totally unmemorable one, as R-Truth picked up his 37th reign with WWE's least valuable belt.
Rhea Ripley - The Big Show wasn't the only person to overcame the odds in a Handicap Match this week, as Rhea Ripley ran through Aaliyah & Robert Stone.
Dolph Ziggler - While his chances of actually defeating Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship hover around zero, at least Dolph Ziggler was on the winning side of Monday's Mixed Tag pitting him and Sasha Banks opposite McIntyre and Asuka.
Matt Riddle - Matt Riddle's unbeaten start to life on SmackDown continued on Friday when he defeated John Morrison.
Timothy Thatcher - Riddle's former partner/rival also had a strong week, as he returned to winning ways with a victory over Oney Lorcan on Wednesday night.
