TV Results for All Elite Wrestling Wednesday Night Dynamite

  • Best Friends and Jurassic Express defeated Inner Circle by pinfall.
  • Matt Hardy taunts Sammy Guevara post match as we go to commercial.
  • A Jon Moxley promo airs from earlier today, with Moxley calling Brian Cage and Ricky Starks both punk bitches. He doesn't start fights, but he always finishes them. Back on commentary, Taz comments on how he feels Moxley is scared about tonight's tornado tag team match.
  • Cody defeated Warhorse by submission to retain the AEW TNT Championship.
  • Dark Order attack Cody post match, only for Matt Cardona to make his AEW debut and send Dark Order packing from the ring. Cardona and Cody embrace, with the former Zack Ryder looking extremely ripped compared to when he was last competing inside a WWE ring.
  • Tony Schiavone starts to talk about Spectacular Saturday on September 5, 2020 but is interrupted by Inner Circle. Sammy Guevara calls Matt Hardy a son of a bitch, whilst Chris Jericho confirms there will be a rematch with Orange Cassidy in 2 weeks. Once he defeats Cassidy, he will be paid $7,000 for a new jacket. He challenges Cassidy to a debate next week on Dynamite to embarrass him.
  • We are shown the official contract signing with FTR from earlier today. FTR want to be the AEW Tag Team Champions. Arn Anderson asks for a copy of the contract, with FTR noting they were told they could host as tag team appreciation night on the August 12 episode of Dynamite. FTR sign the contract, with Hangman Adam Page bringing whiskey in to celebrate with them.
  • A recap is shown from last week's show in which Dark Order offered a spot to Hangman Adam Page.
  • Hangman Adam Page and Kenny Omega defeated Dark Order by pinfall to retain the AEW Tag Team Championship.
  • Brodie Lee admonishes Evil Uno and Stu Grayson, before addressing Hangman Adam Page. He appreciates Kenny Omega turning up for once this week, and notes he has been pissed off for the last time. The ring is surrounded by Dark Order members who outnumber Page, Omega and The Young Bucks. FTR come out to even the numbers and ward off Dark Order. Lee once again tells Omega how he appreciates him turning up.
  • Britt Baker notes Big Swole will receive a shot at her if she beats an opponent of her choice, as AEW's women's division is her division, not forgetting that she is a role model.
  • Hikaru Shira defeated Diamante by pinfall.
  • The Deadly Draw rules are shared. It appears everyone will draw a colour, with matching colours forced to team up.
  • Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero are interviewed backstage, with Guerrero angrily stating that Rose will win The Deadly Draw. It turns out Rose will be teaming with Ariane.
  • MJF is out to make an announcement, with the ring set up to resemble an election speech venue. He shakes hands, points to his MJF 2020 signs and has an entourage with him to seemingly guard him as we go to commercial. Once back from commercial, MJF praises Tony Khan and insults wrestling fans for not being smart. He says he is never spotlighted two weeks in a row as certain people dont want him highlighted. Change is needed at the top, criticising Jon Moxley for getting what he wants as he came from the world of the titans. Moxley is not MJF's champion, with MJF criticising him for not actually wrestling when everyone else works hard. An AEW World Champion should work by example, however he doesn't have to play wrestler as he is so talented himself. Moxley has name value, but MJF actually draws better ratings than Moxley. AEW is supposed to be the land of opportunity, but this has been squandered as the old guard has been in control. MJF is AEW and will be the guy to lead the company for the next 25 years, and he promises to transform the company into the pinnacle of wrestling. MJF officially challenges Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at All Out.
  • Matt Cardona will make his in ring debut for AEW next week in a tag team match with Cody against Dark Order, whilst we will see The Elite vs Dark Order.
  • Darby Allin doesn't come out to the ring when his music plays, although Jon Moxley does come out. Taz taunts Moxley for being alone as he builds up Brian Cage, whilst Ricky Starks also criticises Moxley. Allin hits a Coffin Drop from the rafters as Cage and Starks approach the ring as their match starts.
  • Jon Moxley and Darby Allin defeated Brian Cage and Ricky Starks by pinfall.
  • Jon Moxley and Darby Allin celebrate in the ring, before Allin eyeballs Moxley in anticipation of next week's AEW World Championship match as we go off the air.
