• Elias is supposedly out for months with injuries from the car accident incident from last week. Jeff Hardy cut a promo to start the show, talking about that situation. It's clear Sheamus set him up. Sheamus comes out to say he shouldn't blame him for his indiscretions and he clearly just slipped up again. They fight. Sheamus stood tall.
• Otis took King Corbin's crown backstage.
• Otis defeated King Corbin by disqualification when Corbin used a steel chair.
• The Miz and John Morrison spied on Braun Strowman from a van while they pranked him in an effort to "make his life a living hell" ahead of Backlash.
• Shorty G's interview with Kayla Braxton about his upset over Cesaro last week was interrupted by Mojo Rawley, who is back to being a heel, picking on him for being short. Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura jumped Shorty G until Big E and Kofi Kingston made the save.
• Lacey Evans defeated Sonya Deville by pinfall
  
• Miz and Morrison accidentally poured green paint over Kayla, rather than Braun with their backstage trap.
• AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan had a face-to-face. Blah blah. Styles offers to give Drew Gulak an opportunity tonight to prove he isn't a coward.
• Drew Gulak defeated AJ Styles by pinfall
• John Morrison and The Miz bashed Braun Strowman's windshield of his car.
• Shorty G and The New Day defeated Cesaro, Shinsuke Nakamura and Mojo Rawley by pinfall.
• Strowman found Miz and Morrison in the van, so he flipped it.
• WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Bayley and Sasha Banks defeated Bliss Cross Applesauce (Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross) by pinfall to win the titles!
