- Championship Monday is kicked off by WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, who comes to the ring all suited and booted. McIntyre speaks of looking to the future, only to be interrupted by Dolph Ziggler, who has been traded from SmackDown to Raw as part of the trade which took AJ Styles to the blue brand. Ziggler notes he is proud to see McIntyre as WWE Champion, adding he is owed a shot at McIntyre's title at Extreme Rules. McIntyre is not one to back down from a challenge, referring to Ziggler as an entitled jackass before accepting The Showoff's request for a match at Extreme Rules for the WWE Championship. This was a solid segment to open the show.
- Nia Jax enters the ring with a chair to sit dead centre as we go to commercial. Once we return, Jax moans about Charlotte Flair being favoured whilst decrying the actions of the referee during her match with Asuka last week. Thankfully Jax is interrupted by R-Truth, who calls Jax confused. R-Truth hilariously refers to Jax as the real Akira Tozawa which riles her up. The 24/7 Champion is chased out of the ring by a number of ninjas, which brings out Flair to the ring herself. Flair brings up how Jax has dropped the ball and is having a hissy fit, as Jax retorts Flair gets everything she wants. The Queen begins to reel off a number of her accomplishments, however the one thing she was unable to achieve is a victory over Jax. Flair does not take this well as she attacks Jax before being separated by a number of referees.
- The Street Profits and The Viking Raiders share some friendly banter as they prepare for their Raw Tag Team Championship match, with Zelina Vega looking on in the background with a smile on her face.
- The Street Profits defeated The Viking Raiders to retain the Raw Tag Team Championship by pinfall.
- Angle Garza and Andrade attack The Street Profits post match.
- Seth Rollins is backstage as he explains he has a message for Rey Mysterio tonight. Rollins did not choose to be the Monday Night Messiah, but he accepted his role. Mysterio's defiance breeds suffering, and what happens from this moment forward to Mysterio and his son Dominik is on the lucha legend himself.
- Charly Caruso interviews Charlotte Flair, with The Queen sporting tape on her shoulders. This leads to Caruso interviewing Angel Garza who states he has to be willing to take risks. Zelina Vega explains Garza and Andrade are a united front as they have put their differences behind them, noting they want the Raw Tag Team Championship.
- Asuka defeated Charlotte Flair to retain the Raw Women's Championship by submission.
- Nia Jax is interviewed by Charly Caruso who asks if her attack on Charlotte Flair contributed to her defeat, and Jax noted it would be bad for someone to kick The Queen whilst she is down.
- Edge is in a WWE ring as part of a pre-taped segment, noting how it is bullshit that Randy Orton kept him hanging on during their match at Backlash. Edge says he expects to beat Orton, therefore he is disappointed he was unable to do so at Backlash. He reminded Orton of the fact he is the Legend Killer, which means Edge needs to wake up a side of himself that has been dormant for far too long. Christian has been Edge's best friend for 36 years, therefore last week's attack has finally put the PG version of Edge to bed. Orton should be thankful as Edge no longer cares about winning a match, as it is all about emasculating Orton. The Rated-R Superstar has finally been revived. This was a strong and passionate promo to keep Edge relevant.
- Charly Caruso interviews Randy Orton who explains when a snake is backed into a corner, it will bite. When backed into a corner, he will strike and will do what he needs to do in order to survive. Orton added he hopes Edge and Christian live long and healthy lives, as long as they do so far away from himself.
- As we return from commercial, Nia Jax attacks Charlotte Flair whilst she is about to be interviewed by Charly Caruso.
- Bobby Lashley, flanked by MVP, destroys the ninjas and R-Truth before the 24/7 Championship match can start. Akira Tozawa crawls into the ring to pin a prone R-Truth and win the 24/7 Championship.
- Akira Tozawa defeated R-Truth to become the new 24/7 Champion by pinfall.
- Natalya explains backstage that she would be a better locker room leader than Asuka, adding everyone will have to wait and see what she has in store.
- Natalya is flanked to the ring by Lana.
- Natalya defeated Liv Morgan by submission.
- Post match, Natalya kept the Sharpshooter locked in, displaying a ruthless side to her game.
- The Big Show explains how mad it is to have ninjas on Raw, before transitioning to how he is a heartless and angry giant.
- Ric Flair is in the ring to announce Randy Orton as the greatest wrestler ever, but not before running down Nia Jax for her attack on his daughter earlier in the night. Randy Orton comes out to boos from the Performance Center recruits. Flair enters classic over the top Flair mode as he continues to praise Orton, whilst the Legend Killer explains how nostalgia can be confused with legacy. He explains how he euthanised the careers of both Edge and Christian, which brings out The Big Show to the ring. The World's Largest Athlete calls Orton a narcissistic parasite who infects people and leaves them to die. Orton appeals to The Big Show by reminding him that they came up together 20 years ago, adding that he is a legend in his own right. Orton warns The Big Show it would be tragic for him to receive the same fate as Edge and Christian, and Orton bails once The Big Show offers his fists up for a fight. Orton warns that what happens next is on The Big Show, before retreating to the back with Flair in tow.
- Bayley and Sasha Banks defeated The IIconics to retain the Women's Tag Team Championship by submission.
- Post match, Sasha Banks explains how she gets jealous of Bayley being SmackDown Women's Championship, declaring she wants a title match. At Extreme Rules, she is officially challenging Asuka for the Raw Women's Championship. Asuka comes out to confront Banks and accept the challenge, only for Bayley to attack Asuka. Asuka fell victim to a Banks Statement as Banks sent a clear message. This was a great segment, with WWE teasing the split between Bayley and Banks in such an effective manner.
- MVP explains backstage that he was proud of Apollo Crews until he agreed to face Shelton Benjamin again tonight. If Crews should make the wrong decision, it would not be personal. It would only be business.
- Ruby Riott confronts Liv Morgan who cries that nothing has gone her way. Riott looks on with concern on her face as Morgan walks off.
- MVP opens up The VIP Lounge, inviting Apollo Crews to join him in the ring. MVP explained that Crews needs someone to help him navigate his decisions in WWE, however Crews feels he was able to become United States Champion by himself. He respectfully declined MVP's offer. MVP once again warned Crews, which brought out Shelton Benjamin for his match with Crews. MVP addressed Benjamin which distracted Crews enough to fall victim to an attack by Benjamin as we cut to commercial.
- Apollo Crews defeated Shelton Benjamin by pinfall.
- MVP raised the arm of a victorious Apollo Crews, who pulls away in disgust. This results in Bobby Lashley taking out Crews as he poses with the United States Championship.
- Rey Mysterio tells Dominik they will confront Seth Rollins next as we cut to commercial.
- We return to see Rey Mysterio and Dominik in the ring, with Mysterio explaining how scary it is to not get in touch with your child. He didn't feel good that Dominik was on his way down to the Performance Center last week, however he praised him from coming out of a difficult situation. He is proud but angry as he put himself at risk, but he is still pissed at Seth Rollins for attempting to blind him. Mysterio feels it is time for him to fight for Dominik and gain revenge on Rollins, but Dominik says he is not going anywhere, noting that his family wants a fight. This brings out Rollins, who claims he is put in a difficult position. Rollins threatens sacrificing Dominik in front of Mysterio whilst talking about destiny and fate, noting two eyes are better than one. This results in Rollins dropping to his knees as Murphy and Austin Theory arrive, only to be attacked by Humberto Carrillo and Aleister Black. Rollins is left all alone as he pleads for the faces to stop, as Mysterio hits a 619 to start the four on one assault of The Monday Night Messiah. Rollins' disciples regroup as Rollins attempts to blind Dominik, with Carrillo and Black finally chasing Rollins off with a steel chair as we close the show.
