- There was an "accident" outside the Performance Center. Elias is injured and the silver Toyota that hit him was in the name of Jeff Hardy and it had alcohol in the car. Braun Strowman was a witness. He saw a guy jump out of the car and run away so he called the cops. They found Jeff Hardy and he reeked of booze, so they arrested him for suspicion of having been drinking and driving and a hit and run for Elias, who was loaded into an ambulance. Jeff's head was spinning and was limping and confused. (Looks like they're going for a thing about Sheamus and/or AJ Styles setting them up, naturally. Not sure if people are going to find that insensitive or not. In 2020, they probably will.)
- Backstage, Adam Pearce informed the roster of what was going on. Sheamus called Hardy a pathetic junkie. AJ Styles said he should just skip to the finals against Daniel Bryan. Bryan suggests they both compete tonight against someone else. Sheamus thinks he deserves another shot at the title. King Corbin thinks he gets another shot, too, against Styles, who still wants a bye. Sheamus suggests himself against Bryan against Corbin in a triple threat with the winner against Styles in the finals. Jey Uso chimes in with his thoughts of wanting a shot. Dolph Ziggler interrupts. Shorty G says Ziggler is an enormous jackass. Pearce says there will be a battle royal and the winner will fight Bryan with the winner of that match against Styles in two weeks on Fox.
- Sheamus won the battle royal by last eliminating Jey Uso.
- Backstage, Shorty G had it out with Cesaro, who pulled him out of the battle royal for an illegal elimination.
- Sonya Deville vs Lacey Evans ended in a double count-out.
- A Moment of Bliss with The New Day. Sasha Banks and Bayley came out to talk about how they are the reason why the tag titles even exist. Bayley volunteered Banks for a match against Bliss.
