The rules are that each spot must be filled and only one person can be in each spot, so no ties can happen, nor can anyone opt out. No matter how difficult it might be, you have to pick.
This edition will focus on the men and women who will be competing in the 2020 Money in the Bank ladder matches.
Since there are six people in each match, we're using the six-point ranking structure. For explanations on the categories, check previous editions.
2020 WOMEN'S MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH PARTICIPANTS
Asuka vs. Carmella vs. Dana Brooke vs. Lacey Evans vs. Nia Jax vs. Shayna Baszler
6) RELEASED = Nia Jax
She's reached her peak, hasn't she? I know a lot of people would like to see her get released based on her potential of injuring people, or just not liking her. To me, I don't feel some insane need to get her out of the company or anything, but she and Brooke are the two I'd be the least upset about being let go, and Brooke suits the jobber position better.
5) JOBBER = Dana Brooke
Dana Brooke has made a career out of being a jobber. She's good at it.
4) MIDCARD = Carmella
She's great in a lot of ways, and she works well as both a heel and a face who can have some credibility, but also get humiliated and it won't completely break her character for the future.
3) UPPER MIDCARD = Lacey Evans
I think she's still somewhat of a raw talent (despite being on SmackDown....ha) but she has the look and the size to be something great. With a few tweaks, she could be a top-tier talent, for sure.
2) MAIN EVENT = Shayna Baszler
She has a legitimacy to her that WWE hasn't completely ruined yet. Let's get her back on track. She's a fantastic heel and fun to watch.
1) HALL OF FAME = Asuka
The Empress of Tomorrow had a legendary NXT Women's Championship run, captured the SmackDown Women's Championship and the Women's Tag Team Championship. She has the best track record out of everyone here.
2020 MEN'S MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH PARTICIPANTS
AJ Styles vs. Aleister Black vs. Baron Corbin vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Otis vs. Rey Mysterio
6) RELEASED = Aleister Black
Damn this sucks. But hear me out. I think out of this bunch, Black is the one who could make a great career for himself out of WWE more so than everyone else. Corbin is too much of a WWE guy. Otis has a ceiling. Bryan, Mysterio and Styles are at the end of their careers. If Black were to go to AEW, he could be their top guy.
5) JOBBER = Otis
He's funny and I can't picture him winning a title over the other options.
4) MIDCARD = Baron Corbin
I'm actually a staunch Baron Corbin defender. However, even with that in mind, I can't justify putting him above the other three on this list.
3) UPPER MIDCARD = Daniel Bryan
While I could make the argument for Bryan to be higher, naturally, he's up against some heavy competition, and I think he could play better in the midcard champion role than AJ Styles. This isn't so much a demotion for him as much as it is a promotion for the upper midcard.
2) MAIN EVENT = AJ Styles
He's AJ Styles. Nuff said.
1) HALL OF FAME = Rey Mysterio
The top three picks are all deserving of a Hall of Fame spot and will certainly get inducted. If I had to put someone in the HOF and maybe have them wrap up their careers, though, it would be Rey. The other two (Bryan and Styles) just have too much more to offer at this stage in their careers in comparison.
