WWE Title Change: New NXT Women's Champion Crowned at WrestleMania 36

Posted by Anthony Mango Sunday, April 5, 2020
The WWE NXT Women's Championship has changed hands as Charlotte Flair defeated Rhea Ripley to win the title at WrestleMania 36.

My immediate reaction: I can't help but feel that this is a mistake. A win for Ripley would have meant infinitely more than a loss would have hurt Flair. Likewise, a loss for Ripley here hurts her progress in unparalleled ways compared to what little this win means for Charlotte. I don't think any of the potential #1 contenders in NXT will mesh well with Flair and not seem like she's far above and beyond them. I just don't get this decision at all.
