Future Endeavors: Curtis Axel Released from WWE

Posted by Anthony Mango Thursday, April 30, 2020
As of April 30, 2020, Curtis Axel has been released from World Wrestling Entertainment in a generic statement on WWE.com wishing him the best in his future endeavors.

My reaction: Why wasn't he just released in the previous group of people? That seems strange. I had thought The B-Team would be released, but they weren't, and by then, other reports came out that there wouldn't be any more main roster releases. I guess that was false. But the Cain Velasquez thing was after this, too...so maybe these were actual releases that have been in the works and they're just slowly announcing some other ones? But what would be the point of that? I don't know. This is weird. At least when it comes to Axel, he was spinning his wheels for most of his career, so I'm not too surprised he was let go. Hopefully, he finds a new lease on his career elsewhere before coming back and having a better run than just being on The B-Team and such.
