WWE Survivor Series 2020 Spoilers |
Men's 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team Raw (AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, Keith Lee, Riddle and Sheamus) vs. Team SmackDown (Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, King Corbin, Seth Rollins and Otis)
I still think it's a mistake they're not doing Otis against Tucker on the kickoff, but at least he's on Team SmackDown.
Between these two teams, it's kind of a crap shoot, but Raw has a much more impressive team in my opinion. That doesn't mean they'll win, though. I think that depends entirely on how WWE wants to play things out going forward.
I do think AJ Styles has a shot to be the next challenger for Drew McIntyre, so if his team wins, he can say he led them to victory and use that as a means to be a No. 1 contender.
PREDICTION: Team Raw has a slight advantage.
Women's 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team Raw (Lacey Evans, Lana, Nia Jax, Peyton Royce and Shayna Baszler) vs. Team SmackDown (Bianca Belair, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, Bayley and Natalya)
These teams have gotten all messed up. Originally, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke were supposed to be on Team Raw, but Nia Jax went ahead and did her usual thing of injuring someone (Rose) which changed plans. They were replaced by Lacey Evans and Peyton Royce as last minute fill-ins. Chelsea Green potentially should have been on Team SmackDown, but got injured, too. Then, you've got Nattie joining the team after failing something like five qualifying matches. Yikes.
With Royce on Team Raw, I think it's a mistake they didn't replace Natalya with Billie Kay. It would have been fun to see The IIconics on separate sides. Oh well.
Hopefully, the real star here is Bianca Belair, who wins for Team SmackDown as the sole survivor. That way, she can use that as a means to feud with Bayley afterward and build herself up to an Elimination Chamber win (as I'm hoping Rhea Ripley wins the Royal Rumble and beats Charlotte Flair for the Raw title at Mania).
PREDICTION: Team SmackDown wins with Bianca Belair as the sole survivor.
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Universal Champion Roman Reigns
Surprisingly, the Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns match may never have been in the plans, as Drew McIntyre won the WWE Championship back on the go-home edition of Monday Night Raw. This is awesome on so many levels, as it means Edge vs. Orton at WrestleMania doesn't have to have the title on the line (it doesn't need it), McIntyre hasn't lost his spot on the roster and has plenty of people to feud with over the coming months, and the heel vs heel match of Orton/Reigns is off, giving us a much more feasible McIntyre vs Reigns setup.
I think Reigns has this won, due to some kind of interference that will screw Drew over. It could be Orton, Bray Wyatt, Jey Uso or maybe even someone else, but Reigns is winning this.
PREDICTION: Roman Reigns wins.
Raw Women's Champion Asuka vs. SmackDown Women's Champion Sasha Banks
Seen it a bunch of times. I don't care. The Empress of Tomorrow wins when Carmella and/or Bayley interferes, I guess.
United States Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn
This should be a total squash, right? Lashley is far more imposing than Zayn, who tends to run away from most of his fights. The Hurt Business has been booked as legit as can be, minus winning more titles. Lashley's been the biggest and baddest of the bunch and actually has his desired championship, so he should get the win here over the guy who shouldn't be able to put up as much of a fight.
Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Street Profits
Neat. I'm a big fan of both of these teams. Since they've been advertising this as New Day against New Day lite, I'm expecting The Street Profits to be victorious. That way, they'll be proving themselves to be more than just a knockoff and they'll earn the respect of Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E, who will likely team with them on a regular basis in future six-man tag team matches.
Kickoff - Dual Brand Battle Royal
No idea who is competing in this. My guess is Big E has a good shot, since he isn't on Team SmackDown and could possibly use that to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship down the line. Then again, Lars Sullivan seems like an even better fit to just blow through the competition. However, it all depends on how they want the end of the night's tally to go. It could be someone from Raw.
+ more matches possibly TBA
