WWE Survivor Series 2020 Results |
The Gobbledy Gooker pinned R-Truth to win the 24/7 Championship on the pre-show!
Kickoff Dual-Brand Battle Royal
RESULT: The Miz won by last eliminating Dominik Mysterio.
THOUGHTS: Entertaining match even without some heavy hitters that could have been in the match (Big E, Lars Sullivan, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, etc). Thumbs up. Mizter Money in the Bank scores a cheap win over the upstart.
Men's 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team Raw (AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, Keith Lee, Riddle and Sheamus) vs. Team SmackDown (Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, King Corbin, Otis and Seth Rollins)
Seth Rollins is eliminated by Sheamus in a self-sacrifice by just kneeling and accepting a Brogue Kick.
Kevin Owens is eliminated by AJ Styles.
King Corbin is eliminated by Matt Riddle.
Otis is eliminated by Braun Strowman.
Jey Uso is eliminated by Keith Lee.
RESULT: Team Raw won in a clean sweep.
THOUGHTS: Every member of Team Raw got a pin and they all stayed in the game. Totally crushed Team SmackDown. Wow.
Raw Tag Team Champions The New Day vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Street Profits
RESULT: The Street Profits won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Damn good match! This event is shaping up so well. I hope I didn't jinx it. Thumbs up all around for this segment, too.
United States Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn
RESULT: Bobby Lashley won by submission.THOUGHTS: More of a fight than I had anticipated, but the end result pretty much had to happen. I dig it. My favorite part was Sami tripping himself and trying to blame it on MVP for a DQ.
Raw Women's Champion Asuka vs. SmackDown Women's Champion Sasha Banks
THOUGHTS: Solid enough match. My least favorite so far outside of maybe the battle royal, just because it was a little flat. But it wasn't bad by any means. I hope they give Asuka something to turn around her lack of momentum, though. She's done nothing for weeks and then lost here.
Women's 5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Match: Team Raw (Lacey Evans, Lana, Nia Jax, Peyton Royce and Shayna Baszler) vs. Team SmackDown (Bayley, Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, Natalya and Ruby Riott)
Bayley is eliminated by Peyton Royce (wow)
Peyton Royce is eliminated by Natalya.
Natalya is eliminated by Lacey Evans.
Ruby Riott is eliminated by Shayna Baszler.
Lacey Evans is eliminated by Liv Morgan.
Liv Morgan is eliminated by Nia Jax.
Shayna Baszler was eliminated by disqualification by keeping hold of Bianca Belair past the referee's five-count.
Both Nia Jax and Bianca Belair are eliminated by count out, meaning Lana is the sole survivor.
RESULT: Team Raw wins with just Lana surviving.
THOUGHTS: Dumb. I get why they're doing it and why this gag is funny enough to them, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. Not a fan.
WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Universal Champion Roman Reigns
RESULT: Roman Reigns won by referee stoppage.
THOUGHTS: It started off slow and wasn't really good. Then, it got much better. Overall, a good match, but it would have been a great match had it started differently.
