WWE Royal Rumble 2021 Spoilers

30-Man Royal Rumble Match (2021)

Honestly, I thought Goldberg was guaranteed to win after coming out at #27 or so. Now that he's challenged Drew McIntyre, that takes him out of the equation.

This reverts to my #2 pick, then, which is Daniel Bryan. It's a shame that if that happens, Bryan wouldn't get to witness a Royal Rumble victory in front of a crowd. However, he wouldn't get the pop he would have gotten in 2014/2015 had it happened then, anyway. There are no better options to fight Roman Reigns at WrestleMania than Bryan, so he's the best pick for that scenario.

21 Confirmed entrants announced so far = AJ Styles, Big E, Bobby Lashley, Braun Strowman, Cesaro, Daniel Bryan, Dolph Ziggler, Dominik Mysterio, Edge, Jeff Hardy, Jey Uso (but he wasn't featured on the most recent graphic for some reason), John Morrison, King Corbin, The Miz, Mustafa Ali, Otis, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Sami Zayn, Sheamus, Shinsuke Nakamura

Note: Randy Orton will enter at #1 and Edge will enter at #2.

PREDICTION: Daniel Bryan wins.

30-Woman Royal Rumble Match (2021)

I'll be shocked if WWE doesn't put the Raw Women's Championship on Charlotte Flair. Then, if they do that, they NEED to have Rhea Ripley win the Royal Rumble and beat Flair at WrestleMania. An alternative would be Bianca Belair winning to go on to capture the SmackDown Women's Championship, but I'd rather, at the very least, them give this particular win to Ripley, who needs it more. Belair is wonderful, but I say they should have her win the Elimination Chamber.

12 Confirmed entrants so far = Alexa Bliss, Bayley, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Dana Brooke, Liv Morgan, Mandy Rose, Nia Jax, Peyton Royce, Ruby Riott, Shayna Baszler, Tamina

Note: Natalya will be the 30th entrant.

PREDICTION: Rhea Ripley wins.

WWE Championship Match: Drew McIntyre (c) vs. Goldberg

Well I'll be damned. I did not see this coming at all. I figured Goldberg was a guaranteed Royal Rumble winner who would go on to fight Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. This was a swerve, indeed.

Obviously, I'm really, really hoping WWE doesn't give the title to Goldberg here. There are no benefits to that. Drew McIntyre needs to retain.

PREDICTION: Drew McIntyre wins.

Universal Championship Last Man Standing Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens

This has changed multiple times. Now, instead of Roman Reigns against Adam Pearce, and instead of that happening as a No DQ match, and instead of that happening as a Last Man Standing match, it's now Kevin Owens in Pearce's place.

Frankly, as much of a fan of Owens as I am, I'm disappointed. I was looking forward to seeing Pearce in that role.

PREDICTION: Roman Reigns wins.

Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Asuka and Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler

This screams "never mind, let's put the titles back on the people we gave them to before" to me. They've barely had Asuka and Flair together these past few weeks. None of that felt like a real title reign and with Mania coming up, these two can't keep holding the titles. Normally, I would think the titles would change hands on Monday Night Raw instead of the pay-per-view, but with this being announced, I guess it's just happening here instead.

PREDICTION: I think we get new champions.

SmackDown Women's Championship Match: Sasha Banks (c) vs. Carmella

I've belted out this number before, but sing along with me: ♫ This match already happened, so who caaaaaares? ♫

PREDICTION: Sasha Banks retains the title.

+ more matches TBA
