Kickoff Match: The IIconics vs. The Riott Squad
RESULTS: The Riott Squad won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Nothing interesting going on except how WWE randomly decided to revert all the friendship stuff back to "eh...maybe they're not on the same page" for a bit.
United States Championship Match: Apollo Crews (c) vs. Bobby Lashley
RESULTS: Bobby Lashley won the title by submission
THOUGHTS: Very glad Lashley won the title. That was the next logical course for this belt to take. The match itself was fine—nothing super duper amazing, but nothing bad. What's more important is the finish and they did that right.
Backstage, JBL gave Keith Lee a "pep talk" of sorts with some hedge fund information and told him he'll have the means to use that information once he wins his first big match on Raw. However, he shouldn't feel too bad if he loses, since Randy Orton's one of the best.
Big E vs. Sheamus
RESULTS: Big E won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Remember how Sheamus lost twice to Big E recently? This was just the third. Nothing much more than that to it. The match was good enough. It's not their fault Creative hasn't given them more value to this story.
Alyse Ashton interviews Matt Riddle, who seems taken aback by Corbin's tweet about Riddle being a failure at home.
Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler talk backstage. Jax is positive they'll beat Bayley and Sasha Banks if Shayna follows Nia's lead. Shayna says they'll win if Nia stays out of her way. They shove each other and agree to stop talking and just warm up.
King Corbin vs. Matt Riddle
RESULTS: Matt Riddle won by pinfall
THOUGHTS: Solid match. No complaints. The right guy won and the action leading up to that point was thumbs up material from my end.
Corbin attacked Riddle backstage after the match.
WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match: The Golden Role Models (c) vs. Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler
RESULTS: Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler won the titles by submission
THOUGHTS: Not a bad segment. I'm hesitant to trust the new champions will head in a great direction, but hey, at least we're one step closer to finally getting that Banks vs Bayley feud over with.
Keith Lee vs. Randy Orton
RESULTS: Keith Lee won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Shocked they gave Keith Lee a clean pin. I also felt this match was just getting started. This was pretty short, wasn't it?
Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins and Murphy
RESULTS: Dominik and Rey Mysterio won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: If this were the first match these teams had together, it'd be fine. But after feuding for months, it just isn't good enough to keep me interested. At least the Mysterios didn't lose again and Dominik got the pin.
Universal Championship No Holds Barred Triple Threat Match: Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Braun Strowman vs. Roman Reigns
RESULTS: #AndNew universal champion, Roman Reigns by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Terribly flawed match as far as the booking goes. This made no sense. Reigns being champion is interesting, but the writers aren't doing a good job with telling that story.
