WarGames Match: The Undisputed ERA vs. Pat McAfee, Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch
I'm down. Pat McAfee has been killing it in his time on NXT. The Undisputed ERA is awesome. Pete Dunne is always great. Lorcan and Burch are rock solid. What can go wrong? Sign me up. I wish I had more to say, but that's basically it. Go out there and put on the match everyone knows you're capable of doing and you'll get major kudos from me. Simple enough.
PREDICTION: The Undisputed ERA wins.
WarGames Match: Team Candice (Candice LeRae, Dakota Kai, Raquel Gonzalez and Toni Storm with Indi Hartwell) vs. Team Shotzi (Shotzi Blackheart, Ember Moon, Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley)
This is a great batch of superstars. Taking Indi Hartwell out of the match to be replaced by Toni Storm only upgraded it (sorry Indi). It's really the top 8 women on the roster and you can't go wrong with that.
I'm not only excited to see what they have to offer in the ring, I'm also interested in what happens with the tank they're building. Hopefully, that looks much cooler than something like that stupid big rig Becky Lynch had going on for WrestleMania, right?
Maybe it's a bit cliche, but I think Team Shotzi has to win. The babyfaces have mostly been on the losing end of this fight and Shotzi's tank was destroyed. Let's give them some vengeance points. Storm can win a No. 1 contender's match against someone like Ember Moon down the line and be the next to fight Io Shirai and possibly the one to beat her for the title and a loss here won't kill that.
PREDICTION: Team Shotzi wins.
NXT North American Championship Triple Threat Match: Leon Ruff (c) vs. Damian Priest vs. Johnny Gargano
Ruff
being champion was never something I imagined being the case when I was
originally doing predictions for this, that's for sure. He's pretty much got to drop the title, right?
Strap Match: Cameron Grimes vs. Dexter Lumis
The
blindfold didn't work, so maybe the strap will. I don't think this is
particularly amazing, but if they won't have the women's title and/or
the NXT Championship on the line, they need to fill up the card with
something else. This at least has a gimmick to it and will probably be
the end of the feud.
Timothy Thatcher vs. Tommaso Ciampa
I'm a fan of both. I wish the feud was a bit more heated than it's been, possibly with some stakes on the line, but whatever. That's not the most important thing in the world. If you're going to give me a match that's nothing but "these two guys are fighting", at least having it be a first-time affair between two people I'm fond of means I can't complain.
