AEW Full Gear 2020 Spoilers

AEW World Championship I Quit Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Eddie Kingston

Once they pushed Lance Archer out of the way, Eddie Kingston became the most likely challenger. Odd that he already had his match, too, but whatever. There's no chance Kingston wins. Not only was he not the favorite heading in before he lost, as well as after he lost, but it's an I Quit match. They're not having Moxley tap out like that.

PREDICTION: Jon Moxley retains the title.

AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: FTR (c) vs. The Young Bucks

It had to be The Young Bucks. Funny enough, even though I feel like they should be the rightful next champions, I feel like it is way too soon for that to happen. Therefore, I'm forced to assume FTR retains here and The Young Bucks further their heel turn. That way, a different tag team—of which I have no idea—can win the titles instead. Maybe Cody and Dustin Rhodes win them? Anyway, this match should be rock solid, so I'm looking forward to it.

Update: This whole "if we lose, we won't challenge for the titles ever again" thing throws me off. Surely, AEW can't plan on doing this for everyone in The Elite one at a time, right?? I think it's absurd to pigeonhole yourself like that. I also don't think FTR should drop the belts. Then again, if they don't, who else would they realistically lose them to that would be a better option than The Young Bucks?

PREDICTION: 40% The Young Bucks win. 35% FTR wins. 25% chance it's a draw.

AEW TNT Championship Match: Cody (c) vs. Darby Allin

To be honest, I'm not super thrilled about this match. I was hoping for something a little different. They've had good matches together, so I'm sure it'll be a solid contest, but I'd have preferred Cody against Brian Cage or something new. If Allin turns heel, that would be interesting. I don't think that will happen, though. I'm about 50/50 on this. I'll probably say opposite things on different podcasts and articles, to be honest, as my mood will change day by day.

PREDICTION: Cody retains the title.

AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament Final: "Hangman" Adam Page vs. Kenny Omega

This had to be Omega vs. Page. That was the real intrigue, so I'm glad they didn't go for a swerve. This is the match I'm most looking forward to. Yes, even more than FTR vs. The Young Bucks. As far as the winner, now that Omega's going into his Cleaner character, I think he'll win. It may be through some sort of shenanigans where he cheated, though. That way, Page can stay credible while Omega can become the heel who beats Moxley for the title.

PREDICTION: Kenny Omega wins.

The Elite Deletion Match: Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara

Redo of their previous match that didn't get started since they took too risky of a fall and Matt got injured? Maybe this time, they'll be luckier and won't do things as dangerously. Since they're supposedly filming this at The Hardy Compound, I'd hope they would be more careful and can do some goofier things.

PREDICTION: Matt Hardy wins.

AEW Women's World Championship Match: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Nyla Rose

Seen it before, so I'm less interested than the first time. Such is life. But I'm even less interested due to how this really wasn't some feud going into this. Shida wasn't doing much of anything. I'm not sure why that's the case. Rose just feels like the logical opponent to slide in there because of the rankings system and not because of any actual intrigue or build worth getting invested in.

PREDICTION: Hikaru Shida wins.

Chris Jericho vs. MJF

If MJF wins this, he can join The Inner Circle. While I think there's a good chance Jericho wins and this triggers a full-blown feud, as well as the possibility MJF wins and decides not to join The Inner Circle (which triggers a full-blown feud)...I think if AEW wants to milk this for what it's worth, the money is in having them team up. Then, they can do the split later down the line and Jericho can come out of it the babyface.

PREDICTION: MJF wins.

Note: This is no longer a Buy In match. However, I'm not going to replace the image.

Orange Cassidy vs. John Silver

This match means absolutely nothing, but I don't care. It's going to be fun. I'm a fan of both guys and if they're going to throw a meaningless exhibition onto the card, I'd much rather it be these two than two people I'm less into.

PREDICTION: Orange Cassidy wins.

Buy In — (Buy In) NWA Women's World Championship Match: Serena Deeb (c) vs. Allysin Kay

Originally, Orange Cassidy vs John Silver was the Buy In match. Now, this is the replacement while that got bumped to the main card.

Meh. It means more to others than it does to me. I'm not big on Deeb or Kay from what little I've seen of them. The title isn't even an AEW title, so that matters less to me. But it's a free kickoff match, so I'm not too bent out of shape.

PREDICTION: Serena Deeb retains.
