The following are my predictions for the 2020 AEW All Out PPV. Check back for All Out 2020 results and review coverage here when the time comes.
AEW All Out 2020 Spoilers |
AEW World Championship Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. MJF
AEW really loves to speed past some people. The whole thing with Brian Cage seems to be pushed aside already and we're just starting a new thing for MJF. I'm not opposed to it, so long as MJF becomes champion. I think he's the best suited for the role and there aren't any other viable contenders to fight Moxley that would be better, as I'd rather see MJF as champion than Lance Archer, for instance.
PREDICTION: MJF wins the title.
AEW Women's World Championship Match: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Thunder Rosa
So the NWA women's champion is fighting the AEW women's champion. Yeah. I can't imagine Thunder Rosa is winning that title. However, if this is just supposed to be a marquee thing to help boost the NWA name and get a partnership going, then hey, why not do this? To be honest, who else would be a good fit to challenge Shida anyway? I wouldn't want another Nyla Rose match. Shida's beaten everyone else and most other people aren't available to wrestle if she hasn't. This works for me.
PREDICTION: Hikaru Shida retains the title.
AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page (c) vs. FTR
Everyone and their grandmother thinks Hangman Adam Page is screwing over Kenny Omega and joining FTR to become part of this new Four Horsemen type group..
PREDICTION: FTR take the titles.
Mimosa Mayhem Match: Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy
You can win by pinfall, submission, or by throwing your opponent
into a giant vat of orange juice and a little bit of the bubbly.
Is it stupid? Yeah. Is it something AEW fans will be happy about, but if WWE did it, they'd complain and say it is hokey? Yeah. Do I care? Not really, cause I like Orange Cassidy and Jericho is Jericho.
I say Jericho wins by pinfall or submission. Then, while Inner Circle is celebrating, everyone gets tossed into the tank of liquid anyway.
PREDICTION: Chris Jericho wins.
21-Man Casino Battle Royale Match
The Casino Battle Royale is back and the winner will get a shot at the AEW World Championship.
Participants announced (9): The Blade, Brian Cage, The Butcher, Darby Allin, Eddie Kingston, Lance Archer, Pentagon Jr, Rey Fenix, Ricky Starks
PREDICTION: I'll toss out a more solidified prediction when we know more people. For now, let's go with "someone that hasn't been announced yet" as the winner.
Eight-Man Tag Team Match: Dark Order vs. Natural Nightmares, Scorpio Sky and Matt Cardona
This is pretty underwhelming. No title match, no Cody, not even the full members of Dark Order as it'll just be Mr. Brodie Lee, Colt Cabana, Stu Grayson and Evil Uno (so no John Silver, Alex Reynolds, Alan Angels or Preston Vance, nor Anna Jay or Tay Conti with Brandi Rhodes and Allie on the other side to balance it out).
Meh.
Broken Rules Match: Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara
This is a Last Man Standing match wherein if Hardy loses, he'll have to leave AEW. Unless they plan on having him lose and come back as one of his personas, that should pretty much point to Guevara coming up short. Here's hoping this is brutal, but nobody gets hurt.
The Young Bucks vs. Jurassic Express
This is definitely another underwhelming match that seems to exist just to exist. Could it be a good match? Of course. These teams are talented. But that doesn't make them particularly interesting as far as heading into it.
Tooth and Nail Match: Big Swole vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
AEW hasn't really clarified what the rules of this match are. It might just be a No DQ match with that gimmicky name to it. It also seems like it could be a cinematic match taking place in a dentist's office, rather than in the ring, but that hasn't been confirmed as far as I'm aware. Swole either gets her revenge or Baker wins to help set her up for a title shot. There's still time for Baker to get to that without needing to win this, though, so I'll go with Swole being victorious.
PREDICTION: Big Swole wins.
Private Party vs. Dark Order's 3 and 4 (Alex Reynolds and John Silver)
So they announce the Tooth and Nail match will be on the Buy In, only to then change their minds and have this match added to the card, after Private Party failed to win their match on Dynamite that was supposed to earn them a match on the show? Weak. This card was long enough as it was. We didn't need another match added just to pad it out even more, considering this means absolutely nothing and it's just a vehicle for Private Party to wrestle for 10-20 minutes and get a win. I'd rather spend that time watching John Silver on BTE as that's one of the best things going right now.
