This post will be updated continuously to reflect the ongoing coverage of AEW All Out 2020 results starting once the pre-show kicks off. Stay tuned!
AEW All Out 2020 Results |
Coverage will begin with the start of the Buy In.
Buy In - Serpentico vs. Joey Janela
RESULT: Joey Janela won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Look at AEW pulling a WWE and announcing another match during the kickoff all for it to mean nothing, really. This was just a match.
Buy In - Private Party vs. Alex Reynolds and John Silver of Dark Order
RESULT: Private Party won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Just a match. I was surprised 3 and 4 put up that much of a fight.
Tooth and Nail Match: Big Swole vs. Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
RESULT: Big Swole won via knockout from anesthesia.
THOUGHTS: Well that sure could have been better. At least they did the needle spot and had nitrus oxide for the finish. The rest...pretty bad.
The Young Bucks vs. Jurassic Express
RESULT: The Young Bucks won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Exactly like I pictured it would be. It was a generic exhibition match with no substance. The action was fine if you're just in the mood to watch a match for the sake of it, as these guys are talented. However, I don't think this needed to be on the card and could have been the one and only Buy In match with the other two just not happening.
21-Man Casino Battle Royale
First batch (clubs) = Trent, Christopher Daniels, Jake Hager, The Blade and Rey Fenix
Second batch (diamonds) = Frankie Kazarian, Will Hobbs, Chuck Taylor, Santana and Ortiz
Third batch (hearts) = Billy Gunn, Penta El Zero M, Brian Cage, Ricky Starks and Darby Allin
Fourth batch (spades) = Shawn Spears, Eddie Kingston, The Butcher, Sonny Kiss and Lance Archer
Joker = Matt Sydal
RESULT: Lance Archer won by last eliminating Eddie Kingston.
THOUGHTS: Kind of a mess. Darby Allin and Will Hobbs might be injured. Not much of the match had any real cohesion to it.
Broken Rules Match: Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara
RESULT: Matt Hardy took a bad fall and the match was called off. Then, it was restarted (dangerous...) and they rushed toward a finish where Matt Hardy won.
THOUGHTS: By no means is any of this good. Either this was all planned and they booked an atrocious match, or Hardy really did take that nasty fall and hit his head and suffer a serious concussion, and they decided to let him continue, which is extremely dangerous and irresponsible. This was terrible if it was fake OR real.
AEW Women's World Championship Match: Hikaru Shida (c) vs. Thunder Rosa
RESULT: Hikaru Shida retained the title by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: This match needed to be great to turn this card around. Sadly, it wasn't. At its best, it was fine. That's not good enough.
Penelope Ford and Kip Sabian are going to have a wedding soon on Dynamite. This Wednesday, he'll reveal who his best man is. He then plugs his Twitch account and a notice pops up on the screen that says his plugging that is endorsed by All Elite Wrestling.
Eight-Man Tag Team Match: Dark Order (Brodie Lee, Colt Cabana, Evil Uno and Stu Grayson) vs. Matt Cardona, The Natural Nightmares (Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall) and Scorpio Sky
RESULT: Cardona, Sky, Marshall and Rhodes won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: The best part of this was when they were talking about different Robins on commentary. Why did Dark Order lose? Was it just to have them be mad at Colt Cabana? I don't think this was at all the right way to go about booking this, especially as an alternative to a TNT Championship match.
AEW World Tag Team Championship Match: Hangman Adam Page and Kenny Omega (c) vs. FTR
RESULT: New tag team champions are crowned as FTR wins the titles by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Not remotely close to as good as I was expecting it to be. It was the best thing on the card so far, but that's not saying much.
Omega teases hitting Page with a ringside table, but puts it down. Page collapses and Omega doesn't bother catching him.
Mimosa Mayhem Match: Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy
RESULT: Orange Cassidy won by knocking Jericho into the tank of mimosa.
THOUGHTS: Good enough, especially after all the other matches that had taken place. It wasn't great or innovative or all that awesome, but it did its job.
AEW World Championship Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. MJF
RESULT: Jon Moxley retained the title by pinfall
THOUGHTS: Good match. Disappointed MJF didn't win the title, but at least he looked strong going out.
