Eddie Dennis vs. Trent Seven
RESULT: Eddie Dennis won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Uneventful. The only takeaway was that Dennis exposed a turnbuckle and gave Seven a Razor's Edge to a ring crew member. This could have been a beat down segment on TV instead of a match on TakeOver.
NXT UK Women's Championship Triple Threat Match: Kay Lee Ray (c) vs. Toni Storm vs. Piper Niven
RESULT: Kay Lee Ray retained the title by pinfall on Niven.
THOUGHTS: Much better than the previous match, but still nothing to write home about. I'm curious where they go from here. This was the least impactful outcome possible.
Tyler Bate vs. Jordan Devlin
RESULT: Tyler Bate won by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: A step up from the last match yet again. They're both reliably good in the ring, so that wasn't much of a shock. Very fun.
NXT UK Tag Team Championship Fatal 4-Way Ladder Match: Gallus (c) vs. Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Imperium vs. South Wales Subculture
RESULT: Gallus retained. Imperium won the titles.
THOUGHTS: Credit to Andrews and Webster for taking the botched Coffey table spot and turning it into a double swanton on the fly to make up for it. Very cool on their part. This was messy, but that was expected.
United Kingdom Championship Match: WALTER (c) vs. Joe Coffey
RESULT: WALTER retained by submission.
THOUGHTS: Pretty damn good! This was much better than I expected it would be. They did a great job selling me that Coffey could actually win by the time the near-falls started, instead of making it a guarantee retain like I had anticipated.
After the match, The Undisputed ERA attacked Imperium!
