Wednesday Night War: AEW Dynamite vs. WWE NXT Review (October 30, 2019)

Posted by Anthony Mango Thursday, October 31, 2019
Welcome to another edition of Wednesday Night War from Smark Out Moment, where we compare this week's episodes of AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT and determine which one of the two was the better show.

which wrestling TV show was better this week NXT vs AEW

WEDNESDAY NIGHT WAR:

AEW DYNAMITE vs. NXT

FACTOR 1: MATCHES

AEW had some good matches, but my favorite of the two shows was NXT, mostly due to Shirai/LeRae, the women's tag title match and the main event.

WINNER: NXT

FACTOR 2: PROMOS

AEW = I wasn't a big fan of the Cody limo situation, but at least Jon Moxley had a decent mic moment and Ortiz and Santana jumped The Rock n Roll Express before they could talk too much.

NXT = Finn Balor's promo left much to the imagination.

WINNER: AEW

FACTOR 3: STORYLINES

NXT set up two War Games matches, which AEW crowned new tag team champions and further pushed some things for Full Gear. Both could have had more, but neither was bad.

WINNER: Tie

FACTOR 4: SCHEDULING / PACING

I really wish Finn Balor's promo was moved elsewhere, but I think AEW had a few more hiccups in pacing this week. Not by much, but I found myself a little more confused by the placement of things.

WINNER: NXT

EXTRA CREDIT BONUS ROUND!!!

No adjustments this week for either show, even though I'm tempted to both give and take a point away for that Poppy thing on NXT.

POINT ADJUSTMENTS: AEW (+0 / -0) / NXT (+0 / -0)

THIS WEEK'S WINNER = NXT

That's my pick for the better show of the week, but how do YOU stand?
Which was better, Dynamite or NXT?
