Hell in a Cell Preview and Betting Odds Update

Posted by Outside Interference Monday, September 30, 2019
The long-anticipated event of the fall is finally upon us. Hell in a Cell will take place on October 6th in Sacramento, California – though it just dawned on me that they missed the mark with the whole Haloween thing and could have scheduled it for Halloween weekend or brought back Halloween Havoc.

Odds are out at Intertops for the three confirmed events. But there is still a week for the WWE to finish filling out the card, who else will we see in Sac-Town?

What We Know

We have been patiently waiting for quite some time now for the Bray Wyatt (The Fiend) vs. Seth Rollins match for the Universal Championship. Since the initial challenge we've learned that the Fiend NEVER FORGETS. Shortly after Rollins lost his tag team belt, but hung on to his Universal Championship belt against Braun Strowman at Clash of Champions, he was cloaked in darkness and choked half to death by The Fiend. As he told his story and was beginning to boast about how he gets the opportunity to face Bray Wyatt at Hell in a Cell, the Firefly Funhouse came on and interrupted him … saying that friends forgive … but they never forget. Maybe that's why he [The Fiend] said hello at Clash of Champions.

Rollins was left speechless. Then last week on Raw, The Fiend struck out against Braun Strowman, annihilating him. So, will he be focused enough on Seth Rollins to capitalize on his Universal Title shot? The boys in Vegas think so. Seth Rollins is a 3.3 to 1 underdog at HIAC and Wyatt has odds of -500 to win, implying an over 80% probability of impending victory for the fiend.

The women's title match is going to be a thing of beauty, literally, but it's bound to get ugly! There is a heated rivalry between the baddest babyface of them all, Becky Lynch and the baby-face-sidekick turned heel, Sasha Banks. You would think that after the beating Banks took after the DQ at Clash of Champions that the Boss would be the dog in this fight, but she's a massive favorite. Becky Lynch is a 2 to 1 underdog, +200 while Sasha Banks is a -275 favorite. The odds have shifted some over the last week or so; Banks was previously well into the -300s. So, will Banks dethrone Lynch or will Becky beat the hell out of Banks inside the demonic cell in Sacramento?

One we knew was going to happen was finally made official. Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns will be taking on Erik Rowan and Luke Harper at Hell in a Cell. The 'good guys' are -275 favorites to get some justice against the heel-turning Rowen and out-of-no-where Harper. After all of the build-up with the attacks on Roman Reigns, we knew that the culmination – or at least the first major climax– would come to a head in Sacramento. We were just curious as to whether the action would actually take place locked inside the cage, or if it would be an undercard type match outside of it. Well, it looks like they are going to lock these four into hell and let them tear each other apart.

But will Reigns and Bryan actually get their revenge for all of the recent slights against them, or will a newly returned Luke Harper and Erik Rowan continue to make them look the fools?
