  • Earlier today, Kayla Braxton interviewed Dolph Ziggler when he was arriving to the arena. Ziggler lashes out about Kevin Owens, who comes over to fight. They scrap. The B-Team and Singh Brothers try to break it up. Others join in. Shane McMahon sends Owens away and tells Ziggler to get inside. Sarah Schreiber asks Shane what the main event will be, now that he's cancelled it, and he says he has a few ideas.
  • Kevin Owens comes to the ring and interrupts the opening information to cut a promo about how Shane's ruining things and nobody watching ever wanted Shane to have more screen time and such. Shane cuts his mic. Owens gets a new one. Shane cuts that. Owens gets the commentary mics and talks about people like Buddy Murphy and Asuka who don't get enough time. He walks off into the crowd.
  • Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Finn Balor by pinfall.
  • Shane McMahon, Elias and Drew McIntyre are talking backstage. Ziggler comes over and Shane tosses out the idea that Ziggler should fight Roman Reigns tonight.
  • Recap video and Samoa Joe blah blah about "watch Extreme Rules" essentially.
  • SmackDown Women's Championship contract signing. Alexa Bliss has apparently promised Nikki Cross that they will be co-champions when they beat Bayley.
  • Nikki Cross defeated Carmella by pinfall
  • The IIconics try to pretend Billie Kay is sick to avoid The Kabuki Warriors. Paige reminds them that the title match is coming. I guess this is WWE's attempt to be like "No, see, we haven't forgotten about that, even if we still don't want to do it or make any commitments to have to do it at any particular time."
  • The SmackDown Tag Team Championship Summit is, as expected, just a promo segment of them all saying they'll win at Extreme Rules. Nothing noteworthy. Some decent mic work from Tucker that was surprising, and a few jokes from Big E and Xavier Woods, but if you skipped it, you didn't miss much.
  • Triple Threat Match: Otis defeated Xavier Woods and Daniel Bryan by pinning Woods.
  • Next week, Ember Moon and a partner will face Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville.
  • Aleister Black's Extreme Rules opponent is revealed to be Cesaro.
  • Shelton Benjamin once again fails to answer a question posed to him.
  • Roman Reigns defeated Dolph Ziggler by pinfall with some help from Kevin Owens, who hit a stunner on Shane McMahon.
