Do you have a question that you want to ask the minds over at Smark Out Moment? Our version of the WWE Inbox is the Smark Out Moment Mailbag. Once a month, we set aside some time to answer any of the questions on your mind, whether they be wrestling related, trivia to try to stump us, or just general questions to get to know Tony Mango and the other members of the team better.

Here are your submissions for this month:


Question: "What wwe verbiage in promos do you dislike? I hate the “im going to kick your teeth down your throat”. Like who the hell says that?"

Answer: I've never been a fan of the plugs of "and this Sunday, at SummerSlam..." even if I get the necessity behind it. Pretty much all overused WWE verbiage is bothersome and I've tried so hard to tune most of it out that I'm drawing a blank on what some of those phrases even are.

Question: "If you were to cast any wwe superstar in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who would it be?"

Answer: I wrote an article about this back in 2017 and I still think Braun Strowman as Hercules could potentially work, but ultimately, I think none of them could be the big star of a movie other than John Cena, and they'd all have to be supporting cast members, like Batista with Drax. Maybe The Miz could do well in one of them as Wonder Man? Someone like Rowan as Juggernaut?


Question: "If they do come up with another Mixed Match Challenge show I have come up with some fantasy teams and see if these would be good ones: Brock Lesnar and Rhonda Rousey? Asuka and Shinsuke Nakamura? Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins (or Finn Balor since he's Irish)? Nikki Cross and Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley)? Could you name some others?"

Answer: Lesnar/Rousey makes a ton of sense. I think Dana Brooke would pair well with Braun Strowman if they'd push Brooke enough in advance. Sarah Logan with Erik. A babyface Ruby Riott with Jeff Hardy could be fun. Alicia Fox and Velveteen Dream maybe. Mandy Rose and Otis, for sure. Kacy Catanzaro and Ricochet, for sure. Mia Yim and Keith Lee. Ember Moon with Damian Priest could work.


Question: "Would you ever consider live streaming a podcast? I was watching a Poketuber and in about 23 minutes the mate gain over 400 pounds"

Answer: I really, really, really want to get into live streaming, but I haven't had the time to sort out all the tech side of that by testing out different programs to be able to do those functions I'd want.

Question: "Tony, would you ever do the end of years awards in person as a show like in the past? Would you ever consider the 3 of you facecam on screen like the past?"

Answer: The main reason I don't do that anymore is that it takes significantly longer to edit in comparison to the audio-only stuff. I do enjoy those more for the shows themselves, but the editing process makes it not worth the while.

Question: "Would the 3 of you ever do a fantasy league?"

Answer: If someone else were to do all the work behind it, I totally would join in.

Question: "What Superstar Score or Call the Spot would you want to do? Would you ever consider doing an old Call the Spot like Nexus and Team WWE from Summerslam?"

Answer: I'd like to do more Call the Spot rankings of stables, for sure, like D-Generation X. For Superstar Scores, I'm still waiting on the right time to do Steve Austin, Bret Hart, The Undertaker, John Cena, Big Show, Mark Henry and a ton more that could be a lot of fun.

Question: "Do you like Disney live action or should they just stick to amination?"

Answer: I think they have the right intentions with the live action remakes, but they just aren't executing some of them as well as they should. These should be easy to knock out of the park, and they haven't, which is strange.

Question: "Do you think Cesaro has cursed tag team partners? Tyson and Sheamus are injured for life and Swagger is out of company"

Answer: Sara Amato must be watching her back.

Question: "Do you feel AEW (Any Entertaining Wrestling) took a shot at Conner's Cure? If I recall they said WWE doesn't do charity when they presented the check and I immediately thought that was an uncalled for shot at WWE"

Answer: I don't think that was a shot at Connor's Cure, but that they're just trying desperately to take as many shots against WWE as a whole as they possibly can, because they know that's what their company is hinging on right now.

Question: "With WWE managing superstars Social Media do you think Renee Young will be fire or fined for talking about New Japan and AEW via her husband?"

Answer: I actually think Renee is probably in one of those positions where they don't want to lose her, so she has more wiggle room than she ever did when Ambrose was with the company.


Question: "There are a lot of rumors going around being Daniel Bryan. One being that he is going to be sent down to 205 Live, and one being that he is going to be elevated up into the main event level due to Bischoff being a huge fan of his work. Which scenario would you like to see happen?"

Answer: I don't think any of this is going to amount to anything at all, actually. I think there's no actual big plan of what to do with Bryan. He might just challenge Kofi for the WWE Championship at Clash of Champions or something.

Question: "Do you see Belair moving up when the Street Profits move up?"

Answer: Nope. I think she's staying there until 2020.

Question: "Do you like the first match AEW announced for their first TV Episode - Cody vs Sammy Guevara?"

Answer: Absolute "meh" from me. I have no interest in it, but I also don't feel offended or anything. It's just not something that will hype me up.

Question: "Thoughts on Big Brother so far? Who’s your favorites and least favorites? I love Kat, she’s hilarious, and I obvi hate Jackson and Jack. I just wanna punch Jack so bad. Thoughts on the whole racism controversy and all the bad things Jack has said? Also how bad does it look for Big Brother to have the first three evicted be of color?"

Answer: I haven't been keeping up with it over the past week and a half, so I've missed quite a bit, but I'll dive in more on my POV on the cast on the podcast.

Question: "Would you rather lose the ability to lie, or would you rather have to believe everything told to you?"

Answer: I'd rather not be able to lie. At least I can mitigate the problems in that scenario, whereas if other people are able to lie to me and get away with it, I'm going to be taken advantage of.

Question: "This May only be for Callum and Rob, but is Tessa Blanchard the best female wrestler in the world right now? I mean she is amazing and she better, better come to WWE soon"

Answer: She's got a lot of buzz, that's for sure.

Question: "Do you think Bobby Lashley is leaving for MMA after Summerslam like what was rumored?"

Answer: Maybe, but I don't think he'll actually fully leave WWE. Maybe he's just looking to do a fight on the side or something.

Question: "Are we going to get Evolution 2? Apparently they may not because Rousey isn’t there and they did Evolution for her (a big reason)"

Answer: I like the idea of that episode of SmackDown that will take place the day of the Saudi Arabia show being an all women's episode. I feel like that's a good compromise that makes sense all around.

Question: "Chocolate Chip or Plain Pancakes?"

Answer: Plain. If I want chocolate chips, I want cookies or other things that are true desserts.

Question: "Sheamus posted a picture of him, seemingly looking like he’s coming back, though he was wearing a referee shirt. Do you think that could be a new gimmick of his?"

Answer: The idea of Sheamus as a referee is very, very strange to me. He's too big to be a ref, I think, but if he's interested in that job and it's an easier way for him to stay in the business than to be a wrestler, he should try it.

Question: "What do you think of Kushida so far?"

Answer: Not bad, not particularly impressive. He's just another guy.

Question: "Thoughts on the Vanessa Borne and Aliyah tandem?"

Answer: They're at least trying something. This is the best I've seen Aliyah so far, and even though Borne hasn't hit the level of potential I thought she had, and she might have even regressed, she might have something in the future.

Question: "Do you want to have a Strowman vs Wyatt feud happen? I want there to be a Survivor Series 5 on 5 where it’s like Wyatt, Rowan, and some of his rivals, vs Strowman, Harper, and some of Wyatt’s rivals as well"

Answer: On paper, it makes sense. However, I've mostly given up on Bray Wyatt being interesting a long time ago, especially with Firefly Fun House just dissolving into nothing. I don't want to see Wyatt feud with ANYBODY at this point.

Question: "Connect Four or Trouble?"

Answer: Connect Four on a whim.

Question: "Fan of twizzlers?"

Answer: Not really. The pull and peel ones or whatever they're called are okay once in a while, but the regular ones, nope. And black licorice is just disgusting.

Question: "Would you rather The Miz turn heel or Seth Rollins turn"

Answer: Seth Rollins.

Question: "Have you seen any improvements from Duke and Shafir?"

Answer: Not really, sadly.

Question: "What is your most overrated feud in WWE of all time, and most underrated?"

Answer: Randy Orton vs. Christian might be underrated, but a lot of people really liked that, too, so that's tough to say. Overrated, the first thing that came to my mind was ECW in general.

Question: "Have you ever had a nightmare that u remember to this day"

Answer: When I was very, very little, I had a dream that the devil was carving up a corpse and it freaked me out a lot.

Question: "Do you like the Shirai heel turn?"

Answer: I don't hate it...but I'm withholding some of my judgment until I see if there's actually a plan of what to do with her, since I feel like she's going to get lost in the shuffle.

Question: "Using your crystal ball, the Main Event of WrestleMania 36 is..."

Answer: Roman Reigns against Brock Lesnar :(
