WWE Power Rankings Top 10 Superstars This Week: #249 - Who Stepped Up After Stomping Grounds? | Smark Out Moment
Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all
+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week
- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week
Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

10. Daniel Bryan & Erick Rowan [NR]

Despite losing every other match they faced on Raw and SmackDown, Daniel Bryan & Erick Rowan saved a victory for when it really mattered. The SmackDown Tag Team Champions defended their gold against Heavy Machinery at Stomping Grounds, held in Bryan's backyard.

9. Nikki Cross [NR]

After costing her buddy Alexa Bliss the SmackDown Women's Championship at Stomping Grounds, Nikki Cross spent this week making amends where she could. She teamed with Bliss to defeat Naomi & Natalya on Raw, before swapping over to SmackDown to defeat Bayley one-on-one, earning Bliss another title match.

8. Drew Gulak [NR]

In a long overdue move in the eyes of many, Drew Gulak cemented his spot at the top of the 205 Live roster by winning the Cruiserweight Championship at Stomping Grounds over Tony Nese and Akira Tozawa.

7. Shayna Baszler [NR]

The first Women's Steel Cage match in NXT more than lived up to its main event billing. In a supremely told story with vicious action and high-flying spots, Shayna Baszler continued her reign of dominance as NXT Women's Champion, defeating Io Shirai.

6. The Undisputed Era [-2]

A welcome week off for The Undisputed Era from in-ring action this week, as the Adam Cole NXT Championship Tour kicked off instead, which will hopefully lead to many weeks of entertaining TV.

5. Ricochet [+1]

Less than six months into his time on the main roster, Ricochet has picked up his first piece of WWE gold. The One and Only defeated Samoa Joe in a fun match from Stomping Grounds to become the new United States Champion, a great victory that was then immediately tempered by Ricochet's loss to AJ Styles the following night on Raw.

4. Bayley [-1]

The SmackDown Women's Champion walked out of Stomping Grounds with the belt still around her waist, with Bayley defeating Alexa Bliss. However, she couldn't overcome a motivated Nikki Cross on SmackDown, losing there to set up another match with Bliss at Extreme Rules.

3. Becky Lynch [+2]

Becky Lynch once again survived the threat posed by Lacey Evans to her Raw Women's Championship, defeating the Sassy Southern Belle at Stomping Grounds by submission. Plus, The Man was there to support her beau Seth Rollins in the main event.

2. Seth Rollins [No Change]

While his Twitter game certainly isn't worthy of a spot on the Power Rankings, Seth Rollins made up for this by retaining his Universal Championship over Baron Corbin in the main event of Stomping Grounds, despite Lacey Evans' underhanded role as the special guest referee.

1. The New Day [No Change]

The New Day were all over WWE TV this week, with Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods taking part in no less than eight matches over three shows. While there were some losses along the way, the WWE Champion Kingston secured their top spot with two victories over Dolph Ziggler and wins on RAW over both Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

AJ Styles - After a short spell on the shelf to heal up from his injuries, AJ Styles returned to the ring in style by defeating the newly crowned United States Champion Ricochet in Raw's main event.

Roman Reigns - The Big Dog got the better of Drew McIntyre at Stomping Grounds, and has recruited the support of The Undertaker to even the odds against McIntyre and Shane McMahon when Extreme Rules rolls around.

The Street Profits - Although it was by disqualification, The Street Profits made a good start to life as NXT Tag Team Champions with a successful title defense over The Forgotten Sons.

Elias - Although he has been relegated to the role of Shane McMahon's least-imposing lackey, Elias was able to score a victory over The Miz on SmackDown Live thanks to his boss' interference.

The Viking Raiders - So The Viking Raiders are still a thing, and they handily defeated Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson on the latest edition of Raw. Still no word on a title opportunity though.

Dropped from Last Week's Power Rankings

  • The Revival
  • The IIconics
  • Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch
  • Damian Priest
