WWE NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff 2019 Spoilers and Predictions

United Kingdom Championship Match: WALTER (c) vs. Tyler Bate

Travis Banks is already out of the way. They haven't fully set up Ilja Dragunov, Dave Mastiff or anybody else to take the lead as the next challenger. Pete Dunne already happened twice and Trent Seven got his shot. Tyler Bate was the next logical step, but there's absolutely no way he stands any chance at beating WALTER.

PREDICTION: WALTER retains the title.

NXT UK Women's Championship Match: Toni Storm (c) vs. Kay Lee Ray

Storm has already gone through Rhea Ripley, Jinny and Nina Samuels. The next person in line is Kay Lee Ray, who will follow suit. She's not becoming the champion, because there's no argument that she's a bigger star than Storm. Don't waste your time with that nonsense. Eventually, Storm is going to lose to Jazzy Gabert.

PREDICTION: Toni Storm retains the title.

NXT UK Tag Team Championship Match: Grizzled Young Veterans (c) vs. Gallus vs. Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster

I'm surprised The Hunt isn't in this to make it a Fatal 4-Way, actually. This seems kind of like a backup plan or throwaway match that could have been much better planned out ahead of time. This isn't good enough for the second TakeOver. There's nothing really special about it, considering how little we've seen of Webster over the past few months and such, in particular.

PREDICTION: Grizzled Young Veterans retain.

Travis Banks vs. Noam Dar

So this is basically just "the Kenny Williams thing isn't big enough, but let's put Banks in there. Good enough, even if it's a bit of a rush job." It should be good, but nothing special.

PREDICTION: Noam Dar wins.

Last Man Standing Match: Dave Mastiff vs. Joe Coffey

After their last contest went to a draw, they pretty much needed to do something like this to carry the feud forward and to figure out a decisive winner. I could see Coffey getting the victory due to the rest of Gallus interfering, but more than anything, they need another No. 1 contender for WALTER, and Mastiff fits the bill if he comes out on top.

PREDICTION: Dave Mastiff wins.
