Smark Out Moment

The AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view is scheduled for May 25, 2019 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Follow along here for spoilers and information on the event's card, lineup of matches and news regarding the pay-per-view.

The following are my predictions for the 2019 AEW Double or Nothing PPV. Check back for Double or Nothing results and review coverage here when the time comes..

AEW Double or Nothing Spoilers

"Hangman" Adam Page vs. Pac

Since they made this such a big deal at the rally to announce Double or Nothing, I think this is going to be the main event, Pac will work babyface, and they'll want to send people home happy by giving him the victory.

Update: It seems as though this match isn't happening.

PREDICTIONS: Pac wins.


Six-Man Tag Team Match: SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) vs. Strong Hearts (Cima, T-Hawk and El Lindaman)

I wish I knew more information about Strong Hearts to be able to really judge what's going on here, but since I don't, I have to take a shot in the dark. SoCal Uncensored seems to be the home team and if they want to build this brand, they should give those people as many wins as possible.

PREDICTIONS: Strong Hearts wins.


Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho

Kenny Omega won their previous match, and Chris Jericho will be working against Kazuchika Okada at Dominion on June 9th, so I think they need to give Jericho a victory so he has momentum on his side. Then, naturally, if they want to do a third match between Omega/Jericho, it will be the rubber match to settle the 1-1 record.

PREDICTIONS: Chris Jericho wins.


Three-Way Match: Dr. Britt Baker vs. Kylie Rae vs. Nyla Rose

I know literally nothing about Kylie Rae or Nyla Rose, so this is a total crapshoot on my end. I do know that Britt Baker was booked on All In and I think she'll be a top of the line talent in AEW's women's division, so I'm going with her.

PREDICTIONS: Dr. Britt Baker wins.


Cody vs. Dustin Rhodes

I don't like the whole black and red face paint thing. Dustin Rhodes should be Dustin Rhodes, not "I can't do Goldust so I'll do something similar again like Black Reign." With that being said, I'm glad these two are finally going to get the match they always wanted to have.

PREDICTIONS: Cody Rhodes wins.


AAA World Tag Team Championship Match: The Young Bucks (c) vs. The Lucha Bros

AEW needs their own tag titles. The Young Bucks kind of have to lose this, don't they?

PREDICTIONS: Pentagón Jr. and Rey Fénix win.


21-Man Casino Battle Royale

This match will feature groups of 5 coming out every 3 minutes, with lucky #21 being last. I love the name. I'm intrigued about the concept. I'm glad the winner gets an AEW World Championship shot (against who?) and even though I don't know nearly anyone involved, I'm more into this than most other matches.

Current lineup = Ace Romero, Billy Gunn, Brandon Cutler, Brian Pillman Jr, Dustin Thomas, Glacier, Isiah Kassidy, Jimmy Havoc, Joey Janela, Jungle Boy, Luchasaurus, Marq Quen, Michael Nakazawa, MJF, Shawn Spears, Sonny Kiss, Sunny Daze and TBA

PREDICTIONS: MJF or Shawn Spears wins.


Kip Sabian vs. Sammy Guevara

I have no idea who either of these guys are or anything about this. Sorry. Too much WWE content for me to digest to be able to keep track of AEW on top of it right now.

PREDICTIONS: Kip Sabian wins.


Six-Woman Tag Team Match: Aja Kong, Yuka Sakazaki and Emi Sakura vs. Hikaru Shida, Riho and Ryo Mizunami

I'm not remotely joking when I say Aja Kong is the only name I know here and I think I've only seen her matches against Alundra Blayze.

PREDICTIONS: Team Aja Kong wins.


Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta) vs. Los Güeros del Cielo (Angélico and Jack Evans)

Um....sorry...can't contribute to this discussion, either. Keep in mind, once I see more of the AEW roster, I'll be able to talk about them!

PREDICTIONS: Best Friends win.
