This week, Dallas Allsopp, Christopher King, and Robert DeFelice will be giving their thoughts on what went down during the Superstar Shake-up!
We're all shook up! Who is on Raw? Who's on SmackDown? What's next for WWE? Let's discuss...
Question 1: Who do you think is the biggest addition to the Monday Night Raw brand and why?
KING: I'm honestly disappointed. I would have preferred Black to be on Raw and Ricochet on SmackDown. With that said I feel either Miz or The Usos will make the most impact! Usos are going to light a fire under the tag division after the lackluster feuds that have been draining it for so long! Miz is a babyface that fans can get behind, he can cross paths with heels such as Lashley and Corbin. He will generate that sympathy from the crowd being screwed out of opportunities. His fight with the McMahons I feel is only getting started. After a year, I predict he will turn heel again. Maybe we'll get Miz vs AJ for the Universal Championship!
ALLSOPP: Simply put it has to be Ricochet. He is amazing fans not familiar to his style already and is the best version of a babyface they have at the moment as there is no threat of a Roman Reigns style backlash. If he can stay fit and WWE can push him to the moon you have the biggest star in the company for the next 5 years.
DeFELICE: AJ Styles. It's so nice to see him be able to shine on the main brand when he was the spotlight of SmackDown, it was fantastic but he never got to be the main event of any shows. Now, over on the Raw side of things, he has that chance.
Question 2: Who do you think is the biggest addition to the SmackDown brand and why?
DeFELICE: I think it's definitely Roman Reigns. The addition of Roman shows that they are serious about making SmackDown a more legit brand as we head to the move to FOX. However, we cannot overlook that Bayley, Ember, Finn, and even Buddy Murphy all have a chance to make a new start for themselves on the blue brand.
KING: Obviously, Finn can finally gain some damn momentum and be a star again! But I think the women's division looks pretty stacked again. They are making the women's tag division exciting.
ALLSOPP: Without a doubt, it is Finn Balor by a mile. Yes, Reigns has moved over too but he is already being rejected by the fans. Balor is still riding the crest of a wave and the fans eat up everything he does and still want more. He can easily be pushed into a WWE Championship programme and without the spotlight, Raw revives he could realistically carry the blue brand.
Question 3: Looking at the new rosters, make an early prediction for a major matchup at SummerSlam. Why did you choose this match?
ALLSOPP: Without a doubt, it is Finn Balor by a mile. Yes, Reigns has moved over too but he is already being rejected by the fans. Balor is still riding the crest of a wave and the fans eat up everything he does and still want more. He can easily be pushed into a WWE Championship programme and without the spotlight, Raw revives he could realistically carry the blue brand.
Chris - Obviously Finn can finally gain some damn momentum and be a star again! But I think the women's division looks pretty stacked again. They are making the women's tag division exciting.
DeFELICE: I think we're looking at Roman Reigns vs Lars Sullivan for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam. I see Lars taking the championship at Extreme Rules from Kofi Kingston. Then, it will all lead to The Big Dog having to take down The Freak at the biggest party of the summer.
Here's hoping I'm wrong.
KING: Braun Strowman vs Samoa Joe at SummerSlam. Strowman Desperately needs a big match to get back on track and Joe needs a powerhouse to battle with. For SmackDown, I say Balor vs Shinsuke for the Intercontinental Championship.
Those are our thoughts on the issue, but where do you stand?
