Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live present WWE Royal Rumble 2020 Spoilers

2020 30-Man Royal Rumble Match

Confirmed participants (26) = AJ Styles, Aleister Black, Bobby Lashley, Big E, Braun Strowman, Brock Lesnar, Buddy Murphy, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Elias, Erick Rowan, John Morrison, Kevin Owens, King Corbin, Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Otis, Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, Roman Reigns, Rusev, Samoa Joe, Seth Rollins, Shinsuke Nakamura, Tucker

** Brock Lesnar, despite being WWE champion, will be in this. He will enter #1. There has been no clarification as to whether or not his championship is on the line. My guess is the title is NOT up for grabs. This means no matter what, Lesnar is either going to be eliminated very early or he's going to last until the end, if not win the whole thing. Way to kill my anticipation for this. I assume he'll just bulldoze a ton of people and the match will be all about watching him destroy everyone until a big name comes in. That will eat up at least 1/3rd of this. SUUUUUUUPER fun to watch people get humiliated like that. That will definitely help make the rest of the roster look strong going forward for when you need people to fill in the gap when Lesnar isn't around.

PREDICTION: Either Lesnar wins and they have him against Bray Wyatt and do a repeat of the Winner Takes All thing from last year, or they have someone like Cain Velasquez eliminate him and challenge him by winning the match, or they have someone eliminate Lesnar, challenge him but not win the match, and Roman Reigns wins to challenge Wyatt. But since Reigns is fighting Corbin and he'll beat him there, WWE could want to have Corbin cost Reigns the Royal Rumble and not have him win twice in the same night and then have Reigns win the Elimination Chamber to earn the title shot against Wyatt instead.

2020 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match

Confirmed participants (9) = Alexa Bliss, Carmella, Charlotte Flair, Dana Brooke, Mandy Rose, Natalya, Nikki Cross, Sarah Logan, Sonya Deville

PREDICTION: Random shot in the dark from 1/29/2019 was Sasha Banks, but now, I'm going with Shayna Baszler with an off-chance it is Ronda Rousey.

Universal Championship Strap Match: Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Daniel Bryan

I have pretty much nothing to say about this other than that it would have made more sense if they did a Triple Threat and included The Miz. The strap match stipulation is....well...it's something.

PREDICTION: Bray Wyatt retains.

Raw Women's Championship Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Asuka

Outside of the fact that there aren't enough viable contenders for Becky, this is also a means to undo the loss from last year's Royal Rumble. With that being said, Becky definitely keeps her title. There is absolutely no way in hell Asuka will take the title from her at this event.

PREDICTION: Becky Lynch retains.

Falls Count Anywhere Match: Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin

Well, I like Falls Count Anywhere as a stipulation, so this match upgraded from their previous generic singles idea. However, I still wonder why they didn't make it Reigns and The Usos against Corbin, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. I guess that's because you'd have to put focus on people other than the singles stars. Either way, it's a shame this has nothing on the line.

PREDICTION: Roman Reigns wins and this now makes me think he doesn't win the Royal Rumble. If Reigns loses, his chances to win the Royal Rumble shoot up dramatically.

SmackDown Women's Championship Match: Bayley (c) vs. Lacey Evans

Funny enough, I wouldn't be surprised if Evans won the title. I don't think it is a guarantee or anything, but it wouldn't shock me. I know a lot of people are thinking Sasha Banks could win the Royal Rumble and fight Bayley, and while that's certainly a possibility, I just can't see why either one of them would turn babyface any time soon. I do still think that's more likely than Evans going into Mania as champion, but I'd even wager that Ronda Rousey vs. Bayley makes more sense to me than Banks vs. Bayley.

PREDICTION: 60% Bayley retains, 40% Evans wins.

Sheamus vs. Shorty G

Really? This is on a pay-per-view instead of just on SmackDown? It has to be the kickoff.

PREDICTION: Sheamus wins.

United States Championship Match: Andrade (c) vs. Humberto Carrillo

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz I don't care about Carrillo and I really don't want him to win the title.

PREDICTION: Andrade retains.

PREDICTED MATCHES (as of 1/20/2020)

SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match: The New Day (c) vs. John Morrison and The Miz

This could have been a WrestleMania match. I'm surprised they're going straight into it.

PREDICTION: New champions are crowned.

Intercontinental Championship Match: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Braun Strowman

Please just give Strowman the belt already. He hasn't had a singles title reign.

PREDICTION: Braun Strowman wins.

Something with Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, Seth Rollins, etc.

This feud is either going to have a match at Royal Rumble or they're keeping this on television to be a storyline they can keep going back to for the next month or so and then, a cap off at Saudi Arabia (if people do go there...but I don't think Owens will)

PREDICTION: n/a
