WWE Hell in a Cell 2019 Spoilers |
Universal Championship Hell in a Cell Match: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Bray Wyatt
It's so hard to imagine them putting the title on Wyatt and having him be the figurehead of Raw, as he works right now as a special attraction. But he's popular right now and it does make sense in that regard, so they very well could.
However, now that we know Brock Lesnar is fighting Kofi Kingston before this event, I think Lesnar is winning that title. The likelihood that Survivor Series will feature Bray Wyatt against Brock Lesnar seems extremely slim to me, and even though I hate the idea that we'd get ANOTHER Rollins vs. Lesnar match, that seems much more likely. In that scenario, maybe they're hoping to have Rollins take out Wyatt in an attempt to prove that he's the man.
But also...if Becky Lynch goes over to SmackDown, wouldn't they want to swap Rollins onto the same brand she's on? That seems like he would then have to lose the title, unless they also swapped the Universal Championship over to SmackDown and replaced the red strap with a blue one. But that wouldn't allow Lesnar to be on SmackDown, which Fox wants, so if Rollins goes to Friday nights, he has to drop the universal title.
Maybe there's an idea in mind that Wyatt wins and loses the belt at WrestleMania to Braun Strowman.
There are way too many things going on right now.
PREDICTION: I'm 50/50 on this, but leaning toward Rollins retaining.
Raw Women's Championship Hell in a Cell Match: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Sasha Banks
Banks wins the title and Lynch moves over to SmackDown in the draft that follows it a few days later on the next episode of SmackDown. If not, then Becky obviously stays on Raw with the title, because...you know...it's the Raw Women's Championship and it wouldn't make any sense for that to be on SmackDown. Therefore, all of this boils down to whether or not The Man is going to Friday nights and I think she will be.
PREDICTION: Sasha Banks wins the title.
Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan vs. The Bludgeon Brothers
This was a necessity, after everything that's been going on. I'm partially surprised this isn't a No Disqualification match or something along those lines, but with the Hell in a Cell being the main hardcore gimmick of the event, I guess they couldn't really do that.
PREDICTION: Roman Reign and Daniel Bryan win.
SmackDown Women's Championship Match: Bayley (c) vs. Charlotte Flair
It took WWE until 11:31pm to announce this match, which everyone saw coming after what happened at Clash of Champions on September 15th. Wow. You pay your marketing team. For what?
Bayley retains the title so she can drop it to Becky Lynch when she moves over to SmackDown.
PREDICTION: Bayley retains the title.
PREDICTED MATCHES (as of 10/4/2019)
WWE put such little focus and attention on this event that it's mind-boggling how little they care about it. There's no room for predictions because no matches are being prioritized. Rusev vs. Lashley? Whatever rushed shit they can think of on Saturday afternoon? Rematches of things we saw on Raw and SmackDown the past month? Who gives a shit? If you want to send WWE a message, don't watch this event.
