At the beginning of this year, I've made some predictions for who I think will end up turning face or heel at some point. I won't be altering these predictions at all throughout the entire year, but I will be adding some revised guesses after the big events, so it'll be interesting to see who I'm right and wrong about. Anybody who I'm right about, I'll strike out.
KEEP IN MIND: When a babyface attacks another babyface, this is almost always a heel turn. When a heel attacks another heel, it doesn't hold the same meaning. Villains turning on villains does not make the beaten down person suddenly a hero, but the actions that come out of that dictate whether a turn happens or not.
Also, sometimes, I update the heel and face index, but not as often as the updates you see below.
- 1/16 - Bianca Belair is now a babyface for her feud with Shayna Baszler as of NXT
1/21 - Alexa Bliss may be transitioning to a babyface role- I guess not?- 1/21 - Curt Hawkins will likely be a babyface going forward after Raw
- 1/27 - Elias has turned heel again at Royal Rumble
- 1/27 - There's a chance Dolph Ziggler is a babyface as of Royal Rumble
- 1/29 - Rusev and by extension Lana turned heel on SmackDown
- Dana Brooke teamed with Natalya, then turned on Natalya, so she's been a babyface and a heel in the span of two weeks.
- 2/4 - So I guess Nikki Cross is a heel now as of Raw. Or, maybe she isn't and WWE is just testing her out in different roles.
- 2/11 - Dean Ambrose turned face on Raw
- 2/11 - EC3 may be transitioning to a heel turn on Raw
- 2/25 - Batista is now a heel as of Raw
- 2/26 - Kevin Owens is officially a babyface as of SmackDown
- 3/4 - That was an awfully heelish thing for Bobby Roode and Chad Gable to do on Raw, but it might not have been a turn. We'll see...
- 3/4 - Ronda Rousey turned heel on Raw
- 3/10 - Shane McMahon turned heel at Fastlane
- Dana Brooke is now a babyface again.
- 3/13 - Noam Dar is now a heel as of NXT UK
- 3/13 - Johnny Gargano is back to being a face for sure as of NXT
- 3/20 - Tony Nese is going to be a babyface for his feud with Buddy Murphy
- 3/26 - Oney Lorcan turned heel on 205 Live but is still being treated as a face on NXT for some reason
- 4/5 - Tommaso Ciampa turned face at NXT TakeOver: New York
- 4/8 - Bobby Roode and Chad Gable solidified their heel turn on Raw
- 4/9 - Gentleman Jack Gallagher turned babyface on 205 Live
- 4/14 - Luke Harper returned as a babyface at Worlds Collide
- 4/15 - The Viking Raiders are heels now as of Raw
- They toyed around with it a lot going forward after Raw 4/15, but Alexa Bliss definitely started leaning toward a babyface side of things from this point on, and they keep switching her, so she's tweener status from here onward
- 4/16 - It looks like Oney Lorcan is a babyface again as of 205 Live, but this may just mean he never officially turned heel to begin with, as he was still booked as a face on NXT. Let's be honest, WWE doesn't care enough to notice these details.
- 4/19 - Walter turned heel on the tapings of NXT UK
- 4/23 - Chad Gable is now back to being a babyface as of SmackDown
- 4/23 - And Kevin Owens is now a heel again, of course, as of SmackDown
- 4/29 - Dana Brooke was in more of a heel spot, but not necessarily a full turn, on Raw
- 4/29 - If The Good Brothers were babyfaces before, they were heels on Raw
- 4/30 - The B-Team turned heel on SmackDown
- 5/1 - Mansoor was a heel on the 5/1 edition of NXT UK and a babyface later that day on NXT.
- 5/1 - Taynara Conti was definitely a heel for Worlds Collide
- 5/6 - The Good Brothers were positioned as babyfaces on Raw
- 5/7 - Noam Dar is now a babyface again as of 205 Live
- Nikki Cross is a babyface
- 5/21 - If Dolph Ziggler wasn't a heel before, he certainly is now as of SmackDown
- 5/22 - Noam Dar is back to being a heel as of NXT UK
- 5/27 - Tamina was sort of a babyface on Raw
- 6/12 - Io Shirai turned heel on the 6/12 NXT tapings
- 7/1 - AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson officially turned heel on Raw
- 7/2 - Kevin Owens seems to be a babyface now after SmackDown
- 7/15 - Nikki Cross actively went anti-crowd on Raw, meaning even if she's being manipulated and will turn babyface again very soon, she's definitely booked as a heel right now
- 7/15 - Bray Wyatt returned as a heel by attacking Finn Balor on Raw
- 7/16 - Liv Morgan may have turned babyface on SmackDown but that's to be seen
- 8/12 - Sasha Banks turned heel on Raw
- 8/27 - Buddy Murphy may have taken his first real step toward a face turn by shaking Ali's hand on SmackDown
- 9/2 - Bayley turned heel on Monday Night Raw by attacking Becky Lynch with a steel chair
- 9/3 - Tony Nese turned heel on 205 Live
- 9/9 - The Viking Raiders turned face on Monday Night Raw by making the save for Cedric Alexander against The O.C.
- Charlotte Flair transitioned to a babyface after Bayley's heel turn.
- 9/15 - Luke Harper returned to action as a heel at Clash of Champions
- 9/17 - The Brian Kendrick turned heel by attacking Gentleman Jack Gallagher and Akira Tozawa with a kendo stick on 205 Live
- 9/18 - Lio Rush returned to NXT as a babyface.
- 9/24 - Daniel Bryan slowly moved into a babyface role, which was made 100% official on SmackDown
- 9/30 - Rusev turned face on Monday Night Raw by helping Seth Rollins and joining Team Hogan.
- 10/2 - It's now clear Damian Priest is a heel after attacking Pete Dunne on NXT
- 10/6 - Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross definitely worked babyface at Hell in a Cell against The Kabuki Warriors, who are now heels, it seems.
- 10/14 - Charlotte Flair seems like she's back to being a heel.
- 10/14 - Lacey Evans may be a babyface now. We'll see.
- 10/23 - Finn Balor turned heel by kicking Johnny Gargano and helping The Undisputed ERA beat down #DIY.
- 10/25 - Lacey Evans was back to working like a heel on SmackDown.
- 10/30 - Rhea Ripley effectively confirmed her status as a babyface by helping save Candice LeRae from a post-match beating by Io Shirai on NXT.
- 10/30 - Bianca Belair is definitely now a heel, too. This has been teased before, but it was confirmed on this episode of NXT with her aligning with Io Shirai and the 3 Horsewomen.
- 10/31 - Lacey Evans was back to being a babyface of sorts at Crown Jewel. What this means for her status, we'll just have to find out.
- 11/13 - Dominik Dijakovic turned babyface as he helped Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee and Matt Riddle fight off The Undisputed ERA on NXT.
- 11/23 - Dakota Kai turned heel at TakeOver: WarGames by turning on Tegan Nox and Team Ripley.
- 11/25 - Seth Rollins sure as hell came off like a heel with the town hall on Monday Night Raw.
- 11/25 - All doubts are gone. Randy Orton is definitely a babyface now after helping Rey Mysterio win the United States Championship on Raw.
- 11/29 - Lacey Evans is probably a babyface now after knocking out Sasha Banks and cutting a promo against her and Bayley on SmackDown.
- 11/29 - It seems like Elias is a babyface again as of SmackDown.
- 12/23 - Samoa Joe turned face on Raw when standing up to AOP to help out Rey Mysterio. He solidified this on 12/30 by teaming with Kevin Owens.
