CHEAP POP OF THE WEEK:
BROSKIS ARE BACK
BROSKIS ARE BACK
While Heath Slater's refereeing stint may not have brought him dividends beyond a few weeks of TV time, the same fate might not be awaiting Curt Hawkins following his donning of the black and white stripes on Monday Night Raw.
Firstly, I really enjoyed watching Hawkins referee, as his calling out of The Revival on every cheap shot and trick was a refreshing change. A referee who knows the rules and what to watch out for? I know that it was for the story, but his strong enforcement did add an extra air of legitimately to the match.
However, as fun as this was, the main take away from this segment was what happened after the bell. For after being beaten down by an upset Dash and Dawson, who should make the save, but his former Edgehead buddy, Zack Ryder.
While it is not official that they are back together as a team, history proves that WWE rarely does the former partner makes the save act without having them reunite. So, unless Curt Hawkins was dead set on having a greater record than Barry Horowitz, having the Major Brothers back might be just what both men need right now.

CHEAP HEAT OF THE WEEK:
MUSHROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT
MUSHROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT
Do not get me wrong, I am loving having Vince McMahon back on television, but what on earth was that story about David and Goliath and mushrooms about?
It started off reasonable enough, with Vince comparing Finn Balor vs. Brock Lesnar to the bible parable, but it quickly became very odd with his version including David eating all the mushrooms in the neighborhood, and then getting crushed by Goliath.
What?
I love a bit of random, but this felt more like it bordered on Vince forgetting lines and making up an approximation of his initial point. Sort of.
It was effective in that it was memorable, but I still am unsure what to make of it, or if it even helped to build the match or the participants.
