Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:
NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all
+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week
- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week
Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut
10. AOP [NR]
Akam and Rezar might only be squashing local guys picked off the street before Raw begins, but they are amassing plenty of wins since following the direction of Drake Maverick. It can't be too long before AOP are firmly positioned in the Raw Tag Team Championship picture, or at least embroiled in an actual feud with a real team.
9. Shinsuke Nakamura [NR]
While Shinsuke Nakamura couldn't find a place on the Hell in a Cell card, he made up for it on SmackDown with a successful United States Championship defense against Rusev (with a major assist from Aiden English).
8. The Miz & Maryse [NR]
The Miz continued his winning run against Daniel Bryan at Hell in a Cell, as he and Maryse teamed up to defeat Bryan and Brie Bella in mixed tag team action. This continues to build Miz's momentum in the build up to their Number One Contender's Match at Super Showdown.
7. Randy Orton [NR]
The sadistic streak that has taken over Randy Orton in recent months came full force to Hell in a Cell, dominating Jeff Hardy inside the steel structure. Using weapons, wits and Hardy's sizable earlobes to his advantage, Orton capitalized on a dangerous mistake from his opponent to pick up the victory.
6. The Shield [+1]
The Shield did not enjoy a great deal of success at Hell in a Cell, as Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose failed to win the Raw Tag Team Championship, and Roman Reigns was decimated by Brock Lesnar in his Hell in a Cell match with Braun Strowman. Raw turned everything around however, as Reigns and Rollins successfully defended their championships against Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler respectively.
5. The New Day [No Change]
The New Day are still the SmackDown Tag Team Champions coming out of Hell in a Cell with a win over the now disbanded Rusev Day. Next in their sights is The Bar in Australia, and Kofi Kingston felt their threat first-hand in a loss against Cesaro on SmackDown.
4. The Dogs of War [-2]
Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre kept hold of the Raw Tag Team Championship at Hell in a Cell, but that was as good as things got for the Dogs of War this week. Braun Strowman was unable to capture the Universal Championship following interference by Brock Lesnar, and although McIntyre scored a win on Raw over Dean Ambrose, Ziggler couldn't take back the Intercontinental Championship from Seth Rollins.
3. Ronda Rousey [-2]
As if it was ever in any doubt, Ronda Rousey successfully defended the Raw Women's Championship against Alexa Bliss at Hell in a Cell. Although it took more effort than many were expecting, the Baddest Woman on the Planet dispatched of the Goddess for good, with sights now set on the Riott Squad in Australia.
2. AJ Styles [+2]
The nearly year-long WWE Championship reign of AJ Styles shows no signs of stopping as he defeated Samoa Joe at Hell in a Cell, albeit in a finish mired in controversy. Styles and Joe will have another date at Super Showdown, but Styles carried this momentum into a victory over Andrade Cien Almas in a great match on SmackDown.
1. Becky Lynch [+2]
Nearly two years in the making, Becky Lynch finally ascended back to the summit of SmackDown Live's women's division by capturing the Women's Championship against Charlotte Flair at Hell in a Cell. This was followed by a fantastic main event segment of SmackDown where Lynch humbled Flair during her celebration, cementing her position as the most talked-about star in WWE right now.
HONORABLE MENTIONS
Pete Dunne - An excellent performance in the main event of NXT this week, Pete Dunne defended his United Kingdom Championship, but failed to capture the North American title.
Ricochet - The other half of that stellar Champion vs Champion match on NXT this week, Ricochet is still the NXT North American Champion.
Aiden English - Aiden English turned on his partnership with Rusev and Lana by distracting the Bulgarian during his United States Championship opportunity and attacking him post-match.
Chad Gable - It might only be against the Ascension, but Chad Gable continues to pick up wins on Raw while his partner Bobby Roode looks on approvingly.
The Bar - In the build-up to their SmackDown Tag Team Championship opportunity with The New Day at Super Showdown, Cesaro defeated Kofi Kingston one-on-one on SmackDown Live.
