Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:
NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all
+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week
- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week
Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut
25. ZELINA VEGA [NR FIRST TIME RANKED]
Vega, known as her role as a manager and not as an in-ring performer as of late, took on Lana and won.
24. ALEISTER BLACK [NR]
Black wants to get after Ciampa to reclaim his title, but he has also targeted the man who is to blame that Ciampa is now champion: Gargano.
23. CARMELLA [NR]
Carmella could lose her title and become just a side piece is what seems like a highly-anticipated Flair/Lynch feud for the women's title.
22. JINDER MAHAL [NR]
Mahal is getting great air time and his feud with Strowman and Owens is at least interesting and entertaining. However, Mahal is the third best man in this feud.
21. DANIEL BRYAN [-2]
Daniel Bryan issued the challenge to The Miz for a match at SummerSlam, which the heel declined.
20. BAYLEY AND SASHA BANKS [+5]
Bayley and Banks defeated the Riott Squad once more. Their new team chemistry is another hint that the women are getting tag titles soon.
19. RONDA ROUSEY [NR]
Not letting Rousey and Bliss come to blows just yet is smart. It keeps the suspense boiling for what we can expect come SummerSlam.
18.EC3 [NR]
EC3's second stint in WWE is paying off well. His anticipated match with Velveteen Dream should be his best outing yet in NXT.
17. CEDRIC ALEXANDER [NR]
Cedric Alexander has settled in well as the top guy and the one to beat in 205 Live. It is always entertaining when he enters the ring.
16. BRAUN STROWMAN [+0]
Strowman losing his MITB briefcase will hurt his credibility. Lesnar vs Reigns is hoping to end with Strowman cashing in. The angle with Owens and Mahal is nonetheless fun to watch.
15. THE REVIVAL [NR]
The Revival beat the former champions and look like credible contenders for the B-Team.
14. BARON CORBIN [NR]
Yet another impressive win over Finn Balor for Baron Corbin, but their rivalry needs some traction.
13. KEVIN OWENS [+10]
Owens is starting to get the better of the monster Braun Strowman. If Owens can make Strowman lose control and lose via DQ, Braun will lose his MITB contract.
12. SHINSUKE NAKAMURA [NR]
The United States Champion inserted himself and seems to have formed some sort of alliance with Orton on the war on Jeff Hardy.
11. SETH ROLLINS [-6]
Rollins is outnumbered but still coming out on top over the two heels. However, he can't beat the number game to get an actual win though.
10. THE BAR [NR]
It will now be The Bar vs New Day in the finals of the tag team tournament. This seems like the best outcome, although New Day seems like the favorite to win.
9. BECKY LYNCH [-6]
Lynch was saved from an attack when her ally Flair returned. However, now Flair has to battle Carmella and her best friend for the title she has been chasing for a long time.
8. THE MIZ [+5]
Miz is playing his role as the heel to perfection. He declined Bryan's offer for a match as SummerSlam, that we all know he will accept at some point.
7. SAMOA JOE [-5]
Joe cut a promo on Styles, promising to send him back home a broken man. The feud is in neutral, but it is nice to hear Joe on the mic.
6. CHARLOTTE FLAIR [NR]
Flair returned to SmackDown and it happened with a bang. She beat Carmella and has now inserted herself into the championship match.
5. BROCK LESNAR [NR]
At the last possible second, Lesnar made his presence known. He attacked Kurt Angle for threatening him and then shocked the world by attacking Heyman.
4. RANDY ORTON [+4]
The vicious and unpredictable Orton is picking apart Hardy. The new angle of teasing his trademark RKO just makes him more enjoyable to watch.
3. THE SHOW [+4]
Drew and Dolph are a dynamic duo in the ring and are getting the better of the top dog on Raw in Seth Rollins.
2. TOMMASO CIAMPA [+4]
Ciampa can just sit back and enjoy being the champ as his contender and his former rival are attacking each other instead of him.
1. ROMAN REIGNS [+0 SECOND WEEK STRAIGHT]
It has finally happened. Lesnar has sucked so bad that people are now chanting for Reigns. Lesnar will be a little distracted after attacking Paul Heyman and it could give Reigns the edge.
HONORABLE MENTIONS
New Day - The Bar won and will face them in the finals. The trio has the best chance to win the match.
Lio Rush - Rush vs Akira will be quite the debut rivalry for the newcomer.
Drew Gulak - Gulak has a small alliance behind him that all want to dethrone Alexander.
Heavy Machinery - The big fellas in NXT are in winning ways. With a crowded title scene, once it clears up, they will get a title shot.
Velveteen Dream - Dream is dynamic on the mic and has the athleticism to match, His match with EC3 should be a show-stealer.
BIGGEST MOVES THIS WEEK
Kevin Owens +10
Becky Lynch/Seth Rollins -6
