Smark Out Moment

So even though the United Kingdom Championship Tournament has yet to air, since it's been taped ahead of time, we know that Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven and Tyler Bate) capture the NXT Tag Team Championship belts from The Undisputed Era. Well, it appears as though that's already been switched back to the status quo, as The Undisputed Era managed to regain the titles during the latest tapings for NXT on June 21, 2018.

This episode will air sometime in July, after the tournament has already been broadcast, as well as a few other episodes of NXT television. But hey, it happened today, so TITLE CHANGE ALERT!

My immediate reaction: I'm all for it. Moustache Mountain didn't make sense as tag champions if they're creating an NXT UK Tag Team Championship. My guess is they felt at least one title needed to switch in order for the tournament to feel like it meant something, so they opted to go with this for two reasons: 1) it's an easy fix to just have The Undisputed Era win them back again, like what just happened, and 2) they didn't want anyone to beat Pete Dunne, Adam Cole or Shayna Baszler. Sure, whatever. Back to normal. War Raiders are next.
