Future Endeavors: Big Cass Released from WWE

Posted by Anthony Mango Tuesday, June 19, 2018
As of June 19, 2018, Big Cass has been released from World Wrestling Entertainment.

My reaction: Wow. They didn't even wish him well in his future endeavors. This explains why he lost to Daniel Bryan twice in a row and tapped out like that, but damn, why bring him over to SmackDown just to do that? Now, SmackDown is REALLY in need of another person to move over from Raw or be called up from NXT to fill in this spot, as the roster was already a bit on the thin side. As far as Cass goes, I had seen some major potential in him a while back, but he wasn't progressing too much since his return, and even though I'm surprised he was released right now, I'm not surprised he was released. I just figured it would come at a later date, like toward the end of the year or so.
