Smark Out Moment

The latest round of tapings for WWE NXT were done on March 7, 2018 at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. The following are spoilers of the results for the content during the tapings, which will appear on the next few episodes of NXT leading up to NXT TakeOver: New Orleans. WWE may choose to edit things differently, rearrange matches or add supplemental content.

• Tommaso Ciampa cuts a promo about Johnny Gargano being forced to leave NXT. After he starts to tear up Gargano signs that are in the crowd, Gargano appears and attacks him before security escorts him out of the arena.
• Roderick Strong and Pete Dunne defeated The Brit-Am Bruisers (Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch) in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, despite how it was supposed to be Moustache Mountain in the bracket instead of Strong/Dunne
• Ember Moon defeated Aliyah
• Andrade "Cien" Almas attacks Raul Mendoza from behind and follows it up with a promo alongside Zelina Vega, talking about Aleister Black
• Adam Cole defeated Kassius Ohno
• William Regal announces an NXT North American Championship that will be revealed at TakeOver: New Orleans. EC3 comes out to stake his claim to the title. Regal says he and five other superstars will compete in a ladder match at TakeOver to crown the champion. Those other superstars are Ricochet, The Velveteen Dream, Lars Sullivan, Adam Cole and Killain Dain.
• The Authors of Pain defeated The Street Profits in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
• Roderick Strong and Pete Dunne defeated SAnitY in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
• Lars Sullivan defeated John Silver
• Dakota Kai comes out for a match, but the cameras shift focus to a brawl outside between Andrade "Cien" Almas and Aleister Black, with Almas coming out on top.
• The Velveteen Dream defeated Trent Seven
• Killian Dain vs. Lars Sullivan ends in a no-contest when the other participants of the North American Championship match interfere and start a brawl
• Kairi Sane defeated Vanessa Borne
• The Authors of Pain face Pete Dunne and Roderick Strong in the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, but it ends in a no-contest when The Undisputed Era interfere. William Regal announces a Triple Threat between the three teams at TakeOver: New Orleans with both the tournament win and the NXT Tag Team Championship on the line.
