CALLING OUT THE BEAST
Following the events of the Elimination Chamber, we learned that the inevitable Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns rematch would come to pass, just as it had long been prophesied. While this angered a lot of fans, I cannot see anyone how thought that the outcome would go any other way.
However, it is fair to say that some naysayers have now had their interest piqued following the promo given by Reigns on Monday Night Raw. While never the greatest at verbal sparring, Roman can more than deliver on his monologues when given the right script.
Delivering a stylized shoot-style piece that addressed many of the bugbears people have with Brock Lesnar, the promo helped add some much-needed intrigue to a match that many feel is going to be too paint by the numbers to warrant another top slot at the grandest stage of them all.
Coupled with the rumors that Brock Lesnar may make a return to UFC, we now have an element that gives a genuine unmanufactured reason for people to get behind Reigns. Which one of the pair does the full-time schedule? Which one is committed to WWE through and through? Who will be there after WrestleMania?
I cannot speak for the entire WWE Universe, but these factors combined have already given me a reason to care about a match that I was previously fairly indifferent to. Plus, do not forget that this could be Brock's last ever WWE match. Worth a watch for that alone.

CHEAP HEAT OF THE WEEK:
MISSING A CHAPTER
Umm...when exactly did Mickie James turn heel? I have no problems with her being one again, but we seem to have a chapter missing from the story.
Ok, let us recap. Once upon a time, Alexa Bliss brought Mickie James back to WWE. Mickie was very grateful and so repaid the favor by assisting the naughty Goddess with retaining her women's championship on numerous occasions.
However, this alliance eventually came to end when Bliss and James started a feud centered around their age difference, and how Mickie was, at thirty-seven, the past her prime grandmother of
WWE.
So, how we have got to where we are today?
Initially, it appeared that her palling up with Alexa Bliss was primarily a survival technique for the Elimination Chamber, but it now appears to have extended beyond this into a fully fledged bodyguard/ally role.
My issue here is that we have not had the commentators really play up their history nor had Mickie James really give much explanation about it.
Imagine a Batman film where the Joker was fighting alongside Batman with no explanation or build up.
Sure, we can make assumptions to fill in the blanks based upon their shared history, but it is still a poor show of storytelling to give no explanation for the turn whatsoever.
So there you have it, my two choices for the week. What do YOU think are the Cheap Pop and Cheap Heat this week in professional wrestling? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
