WWE Monday Night Raw - February 5, 2017 - Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines
WWE SmackDown - February 6, 2017 – Sprint Center in Kansas City, MO
BATTLE OF THE BRANDS:
RAW vs. SMACKDOWN
FACTOR 1: CROWD
I didn't really like either crowd, but for the most part I saw more interaction and hear a bit more from the Raw crowd so they get the W.
WINNER: Raw
FACTOR 2: COMMENTARY
I love Coachman, and he could get a win here on his own since he brings something new and fresh to the scene that they've desperately needed. But, that isn't to undersell how much better others have been since his return as well.
WINNER: Raw
FACTOR 3: MATCHES
Ugh, what sucks is that SD Live has a much better roster than their matches suggest. AJ, Sami, KO, Randy, The Usos, Bobby Roode, Rusev, etc. TWO OF THOSE GUYS WERE USED THIS WEEK. Rusev and Roode went one on one in a fun match. Outside of that, nothing. That doesn't take away from Charlotte, who is the best right next Asuka in the women's division, but Liv Morgan isn't always a lot to work with in the ring just yet. She'll get there though. Yes, KO & Sami were in the main event but it was a sham.
Roman vs. Wyatt, Balor Club vs. Revival, Asuka vs. Bayley, The Bar vs. Roman & Seth, Elias vs. Cena vs. Strowman. Thats a heck of a line-up if you ask me.
WINNER: Raw
FACTOR 4: PROMOS
The top 10 list is stupid. Plain and simple.
WINNER: Raw
FACTOR 5: STORYLINES
Turn Jason Jordan heel already. It'll work. I don't think it was the plan at all, but man he can get major heat just being the clueless baby face. Let him turn full heel, and it'll be golden. Make him mean and ugly and let him work baby faces and those matches will be great. We've seen how awesome he is in the ring. Looks like Elias could be setting himself up to be a major player in WWE's future. Getting a win like he did this week against Cena and Strowman is no joke. He isn't winning the Chamber, but man is he good. Bayley and Sasha is a great thing. Just wish it was for the belt like NXT. Hopefully they're given NXT time to work their magic.
This Top 10 List is garbage. I don't understand it, and I don't want to. Who would've thought that it would be a triple threat for the title at Fastlane? This just all seems pointless.
WINNER: Raw / SmackDown
FACTOR 6: SCHEDULING / PACING
Both shows were "meh" at best. So SmackDown wins since it ended faster.
WINNER: SmackDown
FACTOR 7: VISUAL PRESENTATION
Elias winning a match against Cena & Strowman? That is amazing, and I'll Walk With Elias.
WINNER: Raw
EXTRA CREDIT BONUS ROUND!!!
Nothing.
POINT ADJUSTMENTS: Raw (+0 / -0) / SmackDown (+0 / -0)
THIS WEEK'S WINNER = Raw
Raw didn't win 6-1 because it was mind boggling good. Because it wasn't. SmackDown is just mind boggling frustrating. That roster is so good, and this next PPV in Fastlane is pointless. Just start your WrestleMania builds already. Yeah, they have some started, but just have long builds. I just don't care about the triple threat between three of my favorites. And, if the belt does change I'll be mad because I want AJ & Shinsuke. It is really a lose-lose.
That's my pick for the better show of the week, but how do YOU stand?
Which was better, Raw or SmackDown?
