WWE NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 2018 Results

They added 30 minutes to the pre-show, making it a full hour. However, absolutely nothing happened on it to be worth watching. It was all recaps and video packages and such. The only noteworthy thing was William Regal saying The Undisputed Era have been ruled out as the attackers of Aleister Black.

And now we're onto the show...

NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Undisputed Era (c) vs. Moustache Mountain

RESULT: The Undisputed Era retain the titles by pinfall
THOUGHTS: Solid opener. It isn't as good as some of the matches we've had in the past, but I'm not complaining. Still really good.

As Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly are celebrating in the ring, they get attacked by the War Raiders.

EC3 vs. The Velveteen Dream

RESULT: The Velveteen Dream wins by pinfall.
THOUGHTS: Certainly can't complain about that! Good to see The Velveteen Dream get a win, even though I would have been happy with EC3 winning as well. This was a no-lose situation in my book so long as they had a good match, and they did.

Matt Riddle is seen in attendance.

NXT North American Championship Match: Adam Cole (c) vs. Ricochet

RESULT: Ricochet wins the title by pinfall!
THOUGHTS: How is NXT so gooooood!!?!? That dropkick and the superkick in particular were so awesome.

Mark Henry and Kevin Owens are in the crowd.

NXT Women's Championship Match: Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Kairi Sane

RESULT: Kairi Sane wins the title by pinfall!
THOUGHTS: A little bit of a slow start, but it quickly picked up and became what I feel is Baszler's best match in NXT so far. WOW about the title change.

NXT Championship Last Man Standing Match: Tommaso Ciampa (c) vs. Johnny Gargano

RESULT: Tommaso Ciampa retains the title
THOUGHTS: Damn good match with an ending that I was kind of half expecting after Sane's surprising win, but I'm not totally opposed to it.
