Smark Out Moment

Do you have a question that you want to ask the minds over at Smark Out Moment? Our version of the WWE Inbox is the Smark Out Moment Mailbag. Once a month, we set aside some time to answer any of the questions on your mind, whether they be wrestling related, trivia to try to stump us, or just general questions to get to know Tony Mango and the other members of the team better.

Here are your submissions for this month:


Question: "If Daniel Bryan was never retired, how would WWE be different today? Who would be the GM? Would he be champion? Etc?"

Answer: I could definitely see him being one of the top babyfaces in the main event picture of SmackDown and not getting anywhere near the general manager side of things.

Question: "If you were in charge, what would you have done with Ryback, Bad News Barrett, and Cody Rhodes in WWE?"

Answer: Ryback would have won the Royal Rumble and beaten Big Show for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 29 and not been de-pushed, Bad News Barrett would have been built up to have a match with The Undertaker instead of one of the Triple H matches and eventually won a world title, and Cody Rhodes would have steadily been a main event talent on SmackDown with a world title reign as well by now.

Question: "What's your opinion on NXT Takeover: WarGames?"

Answer: Totally down for it, although I think people are going to hype themselves up too much just for having a second cage.

Question: "How do you feel about Lars Sullivan?"

Answer: I don't quite get it, but I do see value in him, so I'm willing to give him some decent time to convince me he's worth a big investment instead of just being a decent NXT guy. Not bad so far. Curious about that leg, though.

Question: "What other sports do you watch?"

Answer: None haha.

Question: "Do you like Spongebob? I love Spongebob!"

Answer: Never seen a full episode in my life. I missed the boat on that one.

Question: "How do you feel about The Bludgeon Brothers?"

Answer: I'm disappointed they don't look different and that Rowan is still using that fucking sheep mask, since it just feels like they're still The Wyatt Family. The name's okay.

Question: "What are your favorite and least favorite holiday?"

Answer: Out of the standard ones, ignoring things like Arbor Day, my favorite is Christmas and my least favorite is probably Easter.

Question: "Is NXT the best WWE product right now?"

Answer: Actually, I think there are positives and negatives to all three shows and none of them really outrank the others.

Question: "What are your favorite and least favorite cereal?"

Answer: Some of my favorites are Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Frosted Flakes, Lucky Charms, Honey Nut Cheerios, Reese's Puffs, Raisin Bran, Corn Pops, Cap'n Crunch, Fruity Pebbles, Rice Krispies, Frosted Mini Wheats. The absolute worst cereal I've ever had is Sugar Smacks. I miss Frosted Chex. Quarterback Crunch was the bomb. Goddamn I want some cereal now.

Question: "What Are your thoughts on the NXT live match upcoming, against McIntyre and Cole, with Shawn Michaels as special guest referee?"

Answer: Neat. Totally don't get why HBK is there, but cool.

Question: "Cookie Dough or Cookies N' Cream? Cookie Dough is the best!!!"

Answer: Bake those cookies. Also, if you like cookie dough and you're in New York City, go to Cookie Do in Greenwich Village. So fucking good.

Question: "Are you ticklish?"

Answer: The smart answer to this is always no.

Question: "Would you rather have a pet pig, or a pet frog?"

Answer: Frog, definitely. Pigs are too big and too smelly and are better for being turned into ham or bacon.

Question: "What are your favorite and least favorite fast food place?"

Answer: Wendy's, Chick-Fil-A and oddly enough, Arby's are probably my top three with Taco Bell #4. There are always too many problems with Burger King and McDonald's. My least favorite is definitely Long John Silver's.

Question: "Compare Kurt Angle and Daniel Bryan as General Manger?"

Answer: Daniel Bryan's character is more consistent and overall, much better in my mind.

Question: "What's your opinion on the National Anthem Protests?"

Answer: I always hated standing for the pledge of allegiance in school, so I say if you disagree with how the country is being run, you should be able to take a knee. It's hypocritical to say you think that's disrespecting the country because that in itself goes against the freedom to protest, so you can't have it both ways.

Question: "Would you rather chew off your own hand or leg?"

Answer: Hand is a much smaller amount to chew but I think I could get around better with a prosthetic leg than I could deal with having a prosthetic hand.

Question: "If you were a wrestler in WWE, how would your career work out? characteristics of persona, championships, NXT or not, etc?"

Answer: It would crash and burn because I'm not athletic at all.

Question: "If you don't watch Riverdale, a TV Show on The CW, please, please watch it. Season One is on Netflix. Look up what it's about during this podcast."

Answer: I watched the first episode and couldn't get into it.

Question: "Would you rather Ember Moon or Charlotte beat Asuka first? Where and when will Asuka lose?"

Answer: Between those two, Ember Moon. Charlotte doesn't need it as much. I don't think Asuka will be losing until sometime late in 2018 or possibly even in 2019.

Question: "What are your thoughts on the Cliffside Park School issue, with the teacher? Look it up if you don't."

Answer: Not knowing too much about it other than a quick browse, if a teacher said to "speak American" then they're fundamentally wrong and should have said "speak English" instead. I do agree that English is the preferred standardized language of the United States and if you're in a public school, that's how things should be handled, but it seems like this probably came about from some kind of latent racism and that's, of course, wrong.

Question: "Do you watch Shark Tank?"

Answer: Nope, only seen a few episodes.

Question: "Finally, where would you rank The Shield on the Top Tag Teams in WWE list?"

Answer: I think they could be in the discussion of the top 25, but definitely not some top 5 or anything. There are so many more legendary teams out there like The Road Warriors, Edge and Christian, The Dudley Boyz, The Hardy Boyz, and even The New Day who have superior legacies in that realm. The Shield was great as a stable to push talent, similar to Evolution.


Question: "Have you ever play never have I ever?"

Answer: *takes a drink*.

Question: "Have you ever been in a Penitentiary? Yes I called it The Uso Penitentiary and kept on saying it's not paranoia it's The Uso's. I did the Philly one I choose to be touch and kept on going unique ways. After we got out I was thrown back in and one of my supervisors thought I was in the bathroom. If you want to touched dress uniquely I was wearing an Umberon Hat, LT Surge pendent, CM Punk Jacket and WWE Title Fanny pack"

Answer: Nope, I can't remember a time I've ever visited one.

Question: "Have you watched any rebooted TV shows? Looks like me and WWE are both watching the That's so Raven reboot Raven's Home as seen on The Hell in a Cell Fashion board with ECW Raven with the caption That's so Raven"

Answer: Heroes Reborn, which sucked, and some episodes of Hawaii Five-O, but I don't think I've seen any of the other reboots.

Question: "Can you believe WWE Goldberg was on The Goldberg's and was not a Goldberg? His name was Nick Mellor and should have Speared his brother"

Answer: Never seen the show more than one episode, but that's pretty funny to subvert expectations like that.

Question: "Do you think Ultra Sin and Moon will let up on the lady part jokes? The Mallow Special is pounding downstairs and The Ultra Wormhole is Lady down there part. This is a kids game right?"

Answer: What's going on with Pokemon??

Question: "Have you notice New Day and The Usos did the same thing as Sasha and Charlotte last year? Starting at Summerslam Usos won the PPV Day won SD"

Answer: Too many frivolous title changes this year....

Question: "Do you like the split screen on Smackdown? For myself it's to small, but I think that has a lot to do with my ADD too"

Answer: I'm a big fan of it. I hope they start to implement it on Raw soon, too.

Question: "Do you think the Cruiserweight division is in trouble now that Neville and Aries have walked? I think we need to see a Kalisto Vs Sin Cara Negro in Mask Vs Mask Match"

Answer: I don't think it's in all that much trouble, since it wasn't at such a high level to fall from to begin with. They'll be fine with the current crop and a few others they can put in the mix like Aleister Black, Oney Lorcan, Hideo Itami and so on.

Question: "Where's Jeff Hardy been? I heard he got injured so wouldn't the logical thing to do is jump in The Lake of Reincarnation to heal 1,2,3?"

Answer: He must be too broken.

Question: "Do you like 2 hour Raws again? The third hour is Fin Bray, woman's and Cruiserweights recently"

Answer: Honestly, it's been a little easier to watch with that switch, but it still feels like it's too long.

Question: "Did you hear Bully Ray talk to The Undertaker and Bully said Taker was pissed at Elisa for using Old School without permission?"

Answer: I don't buy into that too much, but there's definitely a chance it's true.

Question: "My cousin just came out no big deal. So if someone questions your straightness who is your go to woman to prove it. My first instinct Victoria Justice, Renee Young I was also thinking of Chelsea from That's so Raven then or now on Raven's Home"

Answer: My girlfriend haha.

Question: "When I mentioned Renee in the last question my Mom said Renee was old. What do you think? I think 10 years older is a lot, but Renee is only 7 years 11 months 2 weeks 3 days older than me. It's one of my autism powers I see a birthday I can tell how much older the person is to me"

Answer: I think if your partner can have kids your age, that's too big of an age gap for anything but a fling.

Question: "Who is next to get pregnant? Do the pregos count in sexist women's tournament? I think Renee is next if she keeps Frenching her dog he's got want more"

Answer: Maryse and Maria will definitely still count in the tournament. As far as trying to guess the next woman in WWE to get pregnant, I wouldn't be shocked if it were someone like Paige.

Question: "The Thursday before Hell in a Cell Renee said on her podcast she was upset with life. Now she never mentioned WWE, but said she isn't using any of her skills at her job before listing things she's thinking of doing. How can WWE make Renee happy? I thought during they can make a show after Smackdown that she can interview superstars on"

Answer: I wouldn't be shocked if Renee's upset at the removal of Unfiltered and Talking Smack and probably wants to have a less scripted environment to work in, which allows for much more creative freedom and less stifling work.


Question: "Who will be wwe champion or universal champion in the coming years?"

Answer: Various WWE superstars.

Question: "If you could erase any title reign(s) which would you pick?"

Answer: Oh God, there are so, so many...

Question: "What movie(s) are you anticipating?"

Answer: The top of my list right now for the rest of 2017 is The Last Jedi, then Justice League, then Thor: Ragnarok.

Question: "If you could appear on any show, what would it be?"

Answer: Probably Monday Night Raw, actually, especially if I could go out there and get booed.

Question: "Favorite food?"

Answer: Pasta is the best thing in the world with pizza being a close second.


Question: "Who do you think Asukas Wrestlemania opponent is?"

Answer: Either Nia Jax or Alexa Bliss, or both in a triple threat match.

Question: "Who has the best spear in WWE History"

Answer: Actually, I might go with Roman Reigns on that one.

Question: "Which superstars entrance music does not fit their character whatsoever?"

Answer: Wesley Blake, for sure. I don't think Emma's does, either, or Mickie James, really.

Question: "When Paige returns will she be heel or face"

Answer: I really hope she returns as a heel, but doesn't get too much of a push.

Question: "Can you think of any big names in WWE who don't have a nickname? eg. "The boss" "the big dog" "the beast" and if so what nickname would you give them?"

Answer: Hm....I can't really think of anybody who is big and doesn't have at least one nickname.
