PROMO: Kurt Angle heads to the ring to give a rundown of No Mercy, which is totally missing at least 3 matches. He's interrupted by The Miz, who complains about how he isn't defending the title for the second event in a row. Angle says he was just about to announce a Fatal 4-Way No. 1 contender's match to determine who gets a shot at him at No Mercy, between Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Elias and Jason Jordan. Miz complains about Jordan's inclusion in the match, saying he's not worthy of the shot. He calls Angle a deadbeat. Jordan comes out to take the mic from The Miz and to threaten him. He also suggests putting Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel in the No. 1 contender's match. They scuffle, with Jordan coming out on top.

BACKSTAGE: Jason Jordan is pissed about how everyone criticizes him and Kurt Angle. Angle says if he wants to get back at The Miz, he needs to win the match tonight and then take the belt at No Mercy.

MATCH: Nia Jax defeats Alexa Bliss by pinfall. After the match, Sasha Banks attacks Jax, but comes up short. Bayley returns to aid Sasha and Alexa against Nia. They celebrate afterward and Alexa tries to be friendly, but Sasha and Bayley attack her, too.

PROMO: Sheamus and Cesaro are in the ring, talking about how they destroy nostalgia acts like The Shield and The Hardy Boyz. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins come out. Blah blah. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson come out. Blah blah. Ambrose gets mad when he's called a nerd. Scuffle.

TRIPLE THREAT TAG TEAM MATCH: Cesaro and Sheamus defeat Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson as well as Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins (Sheamus pins Anderson)

BACKSTAGE: The Miz touts how much better of a father he will be than Kurt Angle. Dallas and Axel talk about how they'll win the match tonight and won't take it easy on The Miz at No Mercy.

BACKSTAGE: Kurt Angle is on the phone. Dustin Rhodes (without makeup, but in the Goldust jumpsuit) asks for a second chance against Bray Wyatt to prove that he isn't just a pawn in his game against Finn Balor. Angle grants him that match. "Bray Wyatt will never forget the name Dustin Rhodes."

PROMO: Curt Hawkins is in the ring. He says the star factory is closed, but now he presents the history machine. His losing streak will come to an end.

MATCH: Apollo Crews defeats Curt Hawkins by pinfall. Hawkins has lost 115 matches in a row.

INTERVIEW: Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman are split-screen, talking to Michael Cole. Blah blah blah.

PROMO: Roman Reigns says if he tried to be John Cena, he wouldn't have a job. Ask Alex Riley about that. (Ooooh) He calls Cena the biggest hypocrite to step in a WWE ring. He points to video footage of Cena from February 2012 talking about The Rock being away to film movies. Cena isn't here tonight to retort.

INTERVIEW: The Hardy Boyz tell Renee Young that they've had battles against each other like they will tonight, and the best Hardy will win.

MATCH: Bray Wyatt defeats Dustin Rhodes by pinfall. After the match, Finn Balor appears on the TitanTron to basically cut a Bray Wyatt promo.

VIDEO PACKAGE: A tribute to Bobby "The Brain" Heenan airs.

PROMO: Enzo Amore comes out to talk about how he'll beat Neville, but Braun Strowman comes out to decimate him! After Strowman leaves, Neville comes out to hit a Red Arrow on Enzo and taunt him.

MATCH: Neville defeats Gran Metalik by submission

SIX PACK CHALLENGE NO. 1 CONTENDER'S MATCH: Jason Jordan vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy vs. Bo Dallas vs. Curtis Axel vs. Elias — the winner and new challenger to The Miz at No Mercy is Jason Jordan via pinfall over Curtis Axel.
