spoilers WWE Tuesday Night SmackDown episodes online results

PROMO: John Cena comes out to say Murica. He says his free agent status is because he wants to challenge the best on both shows, no matter who they are. Punctually, the last one he mentions is Roman Reigns. "Today, The Franchise is back, The Champ is here, and I couldn't think of a better day because today is Independence Day." Out comes Rusev to say America is a joke and to complain that he didn't receive video packages about his return like Cena got. Cena challenges him to a flag match, but Rusev declines.

BACKSTAGE: Daniel Bryan talks to Chad Gable and AJ Styles about how Kevin Owens has a point where since Owens beat both of them, they shouldn't be in the battle royal tonight. Styles will face Gable and the winner will earn a spot in the battle royal.

MATCH: AJ Styles defeats Chad Gable by pinfall. After the match, Styles helps Gable up and shows him a sign of respect.

BACKSTAGE: Mojo Rawley looks sad at a Hype Bros shirt. Zack Ryder tells him not to sulk and that both of them are in the battle royal. Rawley says he made a mistake cause he won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. They fist bump, but clearly there's some tension for a possible heel turn and split of The Hype Bros.

PROMO: Carmella and James Ellsworth head to the ring to gloat about how Carmella retained the briefcase last week. Naomi comes out to assert some dominance and brings out Daniel Bryan as well, who says he's barring Ellsworth from the arena...and fining him $10 thousand...and he's suspended for 30 days....and if he doesn't leave right now, or if he breaks any of those rules, he'll strip Carmella of the Money in the Bank contract.

SMACKDOWN WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH: Naomi (c) defeats Lana IMMEDIATELY by submission. Out comes Tamina, who asks Lana to get up and to come with her backstage while giving Naomi the stank eye.

INTERVIEW: Before an interview with Shinsuke Nakamura can start, Baron Corbin attacks him with the Money in the Bank briefcase. You can tell they did this because Nakamura can't cut a promo. The segment is about 10 seconds long and super rushed.

RAP BATTLE: The New Day and The Usos have a rap battle hosted by Wale. The highlight so far is definitely a shot at Xavier Woods' sex tape. After Xavier Woods says The Usos are best carrying bags for Roman, Jimmy and Jey start to get physical and Wale disqualifies them. The New Day wins the rap battle (even though The Usos had better lines the crowd was more into).

MATCH: Aiden English defeats Randy Orton by disqualification after Orton hits English with the steps. Out comes Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers. Blah blah. He'll win at Battleground.

INTERVIEW: Tyler Breeze in a wig (aka Tenee Young) interviews Tye Dillinger about the battle royal.

INTERVIEW: Renee Young speaks to Mike and Maria Kanellis. There's some problems with the camera cutting to different random shots (unplanned). Sami Zayn interrupts the promo accidentally when stretching in the background.

NO. 1 CONTENDER'S BATTLE ROYAL: AJ Styles wins. The best thing to note during the match was that Rawley eliminated Ryder. Kevin Owens beats down Styles after the match, but Styles turns things around and poses with the belt to end the show.
