PROMO: Shane McMahon comes out to introduce the new United States champion (and thus, the newest member of the SmackDown roster) Chris Jericho. It is announced that a United States Championship match will take place tonight. AJ Styles comes out to interject since he's the No. 1 contender. He brings up the Y2AJ alliance from the past. Kevin Owens comes out to complain. Styles walks up the ramp to start fighting him and the segment basically just ends like that while we go to a commercial.
MATCH: Jinder Mahal defeats Sami Zayn
BACKSTAGE: Becky Lynch struts up to Natalya, Tamina, Carmella and James Ellsworth. The foursome talks some trash about Charlotte Flair and they try to convince Becky to join them.
BACKSTAGE: Dolph Ziggler watches a Shinsuke Nakamura promo and complains about why people care about Nakamura. Shane McMahon stands up for Nakamura. Ziggler tells him if they want to be impressed, they should watch what he does to Sin Cara later.
MATCH: Tye Dillinger defeats Aiden English
INTERVIEW: Renee Young approaches Chris Jericho to ask what he's got in mind for later. Aiden English walks by crying and Jericho tells him there's no crying on SmackDown, he's a good looking successful guy who can sing. Besides, when you cry on Jericho's new show, YOU MAKE THE LIST! This makes English cry even more. Somehow, Renee Young also makes the list.
INTERVIEW: Dasha Fuentes speaks to Charlotte Flair, who gloats that the SmackDown Women's Championship is still her destiny. The Welcoming Committee attacks Charlotte.
TAG TEAM MATCH: Natalya and Carmella defeat Naomi and Charlotte Flair. After the match, all four along with Tamina brawl. Becky Lynch comes out to make the save on behalf of Naomi and Charlotte. However, The Welcoming Committee comes out on top, though.
MATCH: Dolph Ziggler defeats Sin Cara
