WWE Power Rankings Top 25 Superstars This Week: 5/28/2017

Posted by Wes Keefer Sunday, May 28, 2017
Welcome to another edition of Power Rankings from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?
Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

25. Tye Dillinger

Tye Dillinger has started his climb up the ladder on the main roster, winning his first PPV match, even if it was against Aiden English on the Pre-Show.

24. Randy Orton

Randy Orton went from being on top on SmackDown with the WWE Championship, but then Jinder Mahal completed his Cinderella story and took his belt. Even though he gets a rematch, Orton has fallen hard.

23. Sasha Banks

Banks's very back and forth feud with Alicia Fox continues, with Banks taking the latest win.

22. Sheamus/Cesaro

Sheamus and Cesaro cannot seem to get one up on the Hardy Boyz. Sheamus lost to Matt Hardy and now they get a rematch for the Tag Team Championship, but in a Steel Cage match.

21. Neville

The King of the Cruiserweights is slowly losing his heat against Austin Aries, especially since he hasn't had much air time.

20. Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn is starting to catch some fire again, beating Corbin at Backlash and also winning a quick match against him on SmackDown.

19. Dean Ambrose

The Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose may still be the champion, but he now has two challengers in Elias Samson and The Miz and he may lose his belt soon.

18. The Miz

The Miz interfered in his rival's match with Elias Samson and seems to be preparing for a new feud with the newly debuted Samson. He is also looking like he will most likely beat Ambrose for the IC belt at Extreme Rules.

17. Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler currently is the least likely to win the MITB Ladder Match. He lost to Shinsuke Nakamura at Backlash and lost a tag team match against Nakamura and Styles.

16. Elias Samson

Elias Samson finally debuted in the ring against Dean Ambrose. However, The Miz interfered and attacked him to end his first match. However, he floored Ambrose post-match.

15. Naomi/Flair/Lynch

SmackDown Women's Champion Naomi and her new allies may have lost to the Welcome Committee at Backlash, but beat them to even the score at SmackDown. Plus, the Committee seems in turmoil.

14. Austin Aries

Austin Aries dominated Tony Nese on SmackDown in front of rival Neville. Aries is getting more airtime than Neville, foreshadowing a possible title change soon.

13. AJ Styles

AJ Styles may have lost his title match against Kevin Owens, but the feud is not over. Owens and Styles were announced as two of the six MITB Ladder match participants.

12. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins temporarily teamed with former rival Roman Reigns after attacking Samoa Joe and Bray Wyatt earlier in the night. However, he was unsuccessful.

11. Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura won his first PPV match against Dolph Ziggler, was announced as a MITB Ladder match participant, and also won a tag team match with AJ Styles over Owens and Ziggler. It was a good week for Nakamura.

10. Samoa Joe

Joe interfered in a match between Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt and ended up being attacked by Seth Rollins. He later teamed with Bray Wyatt and beat the former Shield members.

9. Roman Reigns

After a promo with Wyatt, Roman and him were booked for a match. It was interrupted by Samoa Joe and Rollins, but Reigns still sneaked in a Superman Punch on Wyatt. He teamed with former rival Rollins in a losing effort against Wyatt and Joe.

8. Finn Balor

Finn Balor cut a promo with Paul Heyman in which Heyman talked up Balor as the best performer in WWE, other than his client Brock Lesnar. After being labeled as the favorite to be the new #1 Contender, he went on to defeat former friend Karl Anderson.

7. Kevin Owens

"The Face of America" Kevin Owens defended his title successfully over AJ Styles, but lost a tag team match against Styles and Nakamura. He still has his belt in his hands though.

6. Breezango

Tyler Breeze and Fandango both won single matches against The Usos on SmackDown after they couldn't win the belts at Backlash. The duo are over quite well with the WWE Universe.

5. Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt may have gotten sucker-punched by a Superman Punch from Reigns, but he teamed up with Samoa Joe and was victorious. Wyatt is one of the favorites currently to be the new #1 Contender.

4. Hardy Boyz

Matt Hardy defeated Sheamus in a singles match. The Hardy Boyz will defend the belts against Sheamus and Cesaro again, but this time in a steel cage.

3. Alexa Bliss

Bliss may just be the hottest star on the roster right now, but an ugly match against Mickie James was jsut that...ugly. She did win though and is still the favorite in her Kendo Stick on a Pole match.

2. The Usos

The Usos are SmackDown's Tag Team Champions and are thriving as heels. Their feud with the highly entertaining Breezango duo is clicking quite well. They recently defended their belts successfully at Backlash, but might have a bigger challenge on their hands than they think with Breezango.

1. Jinder Mahal

The Cinderella story is over and Jinder Mahal defeated Randy Orton to become the new WWE Champion. From jobber to champion, WWE is proving that SmackDown's unpredictable booking is actually catching fire. As long as WWE does not make this a short lived reign, Mahal will be atop this power ranking for many weeks to come.
