WWE Power Rankings Top 25 Superstars This Week: 5/20/2017

Posted by Wes Keefer Saturday, May 20, 2017
Welcome to another edition of Power Rankings from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for one's self, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Power Ranking WWE wrestlers list roster

25. Elias Samson

While he hasn't really spoken or even fought yet, Elias's most recent appearance in a promo involving The Miz and Dean Ambrose could spark that he is next contender after this feud.

24. Finn Balor

Finn Balor was announced as one of the participants in the Fatal 5-Way to determine the No. 1 contender for the Universal Championship. However, he was speared by Reigns, who avenged his loss from when Balor debuted.

23. Dean Ambrose

Ambrose had his title on the line against The Miz on Monday night, but he cost himself the match when he was caught delivering a low blow after countering one from The Miz. Now, he will face Miz again at Extreme Rules in a match where he will lose the title if he's disqualified.

22. Dolph Ziggler

Ziggler did a promo on his upcoming match against Shinsuke Nakamura. He showcased his eight-year career and vows to end Nakamura's run before it can start.

21. Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura is only one spot above Ziggler since he is the favorite to win.

20. Kevin Owens

Owens kicked off SmackDown Live by bragging about destroying his former friend and hijacked his Highlight Reel. Later in the night, he cost his #1 Contender AJ Styles his match.

19. Sheamus/Cesaro

The newly turned heel team came up short against the Hardy Boyz.

18. AJ Styles

AJ Styles had a victory over Mahal in the bag, but couldn't compete with interference from Owens and The Singh Brothers.

17. Bayley

Bayley was beaten down with a Kendo Stick by Alexa Bliss, setting up a Kendo Stick on a Pole Match at Extreme Rules.

16. Apollo Crews

Crews might not be gaining much with his pairing with Titus O'Neil, but at least he is getting good air time.

15. Goldust

Fed up with the losses adding up, Goldust cut ties with R-Truth, attacking him and breaking up the team and going full heel.

14. Samoa Joe

Joe was elected as one of the five men to compete for a chance at Lesnar's title. He later attacked Rollins, who was in the middle of a match. However, was flattened by Wyatt.

13. Alicia Fox

The past two weeks have been weird. Fox, who was seemingly lost in the bottom of the mix, had a controversial loss last week and then beat Sasha Banks fair and square with Noam Dar at her side.

12. TJP

Formerly known at TJ Perkins, TJP teamed with Neville and won against Aries and Gallagher. However, Neville is still the leader of the two, which is why....

11. Neville

Neville and his lackey TJP beat Austin Aries and Jack Gallagher. Neville gets momentum for his match with Aries for his title.

10. The Miz

The Miz almost had the Intercontinental Championship in his hands again, but Ambrose delivered a low blow and set up another title match at Extreme Rules where his chances to win have gone up.

9. The Usos

The champs are doing good work with their promos as heels, but may be underestimating Breezango.

8. Roman Reigns

After his loss to Balor on the night of The Demon's debut, Reigns powered through and speared Balor for the win. He helps his chances in the Fatal 5-Way.

7. Randy Orton

Randy Orton delivered two RKOs to Baron Corbin to keep him down, and on top of that, it takes both Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers to beat him down.

6. Jinder Mahal

While Owens did interfere and distract AJ Styles, Mahal still scored a roll up win on Styles and beat down the champ to gain some momentum ahead of their title match.

5. Breezango

Once in the basement, Breezango is delivering promos and ring work that have escalated them to being No. 1 contenders.

4. The Hardy Boyz

Jeff Hardy scored a win for his team in their feud with Sheamus and Cesaro.

3. Seth Rollins

Rollins won via DQ against Bray Wyatt, but Joe floored him. His chances in the Fatal 5-Way do not look good so far.

2. Alexa Bliss

Raw women's champion Alexa Bliss showed that she means business, literally beating Bayley to the ground with a kendo stick.

1. Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt lost his match when Samoa Joe interfered and attacked Rollins. Wyatt got the last laugh and became the favorite to be the new #1 contender by clearing the ring of not one, but two of his fellow participants in the Fatal 5-Way.
