UFC 210 Results: Full Fight Card Results and Review for Cormier vs Johnson and More | Smark Out Moment
UFC 210 took place on April 8, 2017 at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. This is a full review of what happened and the results of the bouts that took place at the pay-per-view. Here are the results of UFC 210.

Review of UFC 210 pay-per-view Cormier vs Johnson

MAIN CARD

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: Daniel Cormier (c) vs Anthony Johnson (#1)

Johnson played to Cormier's strengths in this fight and it looked like he felt he had a point to prove. Johnson retired after the fight, which is a shame because he's a very entertaining fighter. I'm looking forward to Cormier vs Jon Jones at least.

RESULT: Daniel Cormier, 2nd round submission.

MIDDLEWEIGHT: Chris Weidman (#4) vs Gegard Mousasi (#5)

Weidman dominated the first round but Mousasi gets the finish in the second. The controversy here was that the referee stopped the fight after what he thought was an illegal knee from Mousasi. Weidman was given 5 minutes to recover, but during that time it was discovered that the knee was legal. Mousasi was then given the victory. The knee was legal, so the fight should have either been restarted as soon as they realised that, or Mousasi gets the win and there is no controversy. There will probably be a rematch soon.

RESULT: Gegard Mousasi, 2nd round TKO.

STRAWWEIGHT: Cynthia Calvillo vs Pearl Gonzalez

Calvillo gets another good submission win and she might only be 5-0, but could be challenging for the title by the end of the year.

RESULT: Cynthia Calvillo, 3rd round submission.

WELTERWEIGHT: Thiago Alves vs Patrick Cote

Cote's leg was visibly injured going into the fight. Cote just about survived the end of the first round. The second and third rounds were close and could have gone either way, but Alves definitely deserved the win.

RESULT: Thiago Alves, unanimous decision.

LIGHTWEIGHT: Charles Oliveira (#9) vs Will Brooks

Oliveira got it to the ground and won the fight fairly easily. Not a bad performance from Brooks considering he only lasted half a round.

RESULT: Charles Oliveira, 1st round submission.

PRELIMINARY CARD

FEATHERWEIGHT: Myles Jury vs Mike de la Torre

Jury absolutely dominated the fight, de la Torre only got two strikes in and was never really in the fight.

RESULT: Myles Jury, 1st round TKO.

WELTERWEIGHT: Kamaru Usman (#11) vs Sean Strickland

Usman dominated the entire fight and almost finished Strickland in the second round. That second round was almost certainly a 10-8, and under the new rules, you might be able to make the case that the other two were as well. I really look forward to seeing more of Usman.

RESULT: Kamaru Usman, unanimous decision.

FEATHERWEIGHT: Shane Burgos vs Charles Rosa

Shane Burgos gets a third round TKO. It was quite a close fight up to that point, but I think he was winning anyway.

RESULT: Shane Burgos, 3rd round TKO.

LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT: Patrick Cummins (#12) vs Jan Blachowicz (#12)

Blachowicz dominated the first round, but Cummins was much better in the second and third. Correct decision in the end.

RESULT: Patrick Cummins, majority decision.

EARLY PRELIMINARY CARD

LIGHTWEIGHT: Gregor Gillespie vs Andrew Holbrook

A knockout in 21 seconds says it all.

RESULT: Gregor Gillespie, 1st round KO.

LIGHTWEIGHT: Josh Emmett vs Desmond Green

I was busy for most of this fight, but from what I saw it was quite close. How someone gave it 30-27 to Green I don't know, but He probably deserved the win.

RESULT: Desmond Green, split decision.

BANTAMWEIGHT: Katlyn Chookagian vs Irene Aldana

Quite a close fight, but I think Chookagian just about took it, I could've accepted the call going either way though.

RESULT: Katlyn Chookagian, split decision.

FLYWEIGHT: Jenel lausa vs Magomed Bibulatov

Quite a simple win for Bibulatov, even if he did get a point deducted in the second round.

RESULT: Magomed Bibulatov, unanimouse decision.
