Smark Out Moment

Do you have a question that you want to ask the minds over at Smark Out Moment? Our version of the WWE Inbox is the Smark Out Moment Mailbag. Once a month, we set aside some time to answer any of the questions on your mind, whether they be wrestling related, trivia to try to stump us, or just general questions to get to know Tony Mango and the other members of the team better.

Here are your submissions for this month:


Question: "If you were the President of the United States of America and you had to pick your cabinet from the folk involved with Smark Out Moment/Fanboys (not just the YouTube channel) who you you chose to be in key positions I.e. - Vice President, Chief of Staff to the President, Press Secretary, Secretary of State, Secretary of the Treasury, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Education, Attorney General?"

Answer: Oh God, could I trust any of these people with the nuclear football?


Question: "Whatever happened to Shaun's show Premier Pals?"

Answer: No idea, actually. I guess Shaun hasn't had the motivation and/or time to do it for a while, but I'm not sure why.


Question: "Why does growing facial hair in professional wrestling give guys an edge?"

Answer: Only Adam Copeland has the answer as he both found the right Edge and he also grew the facial hair.

Question: "Who was your favorite big woman in professional wrestling? Nia Jax, Kharma, Mount Fiji, or Bertha Faye?"

Answer: Definitely Kharma / Awesome Kong. I really want her back in WWE sooner than later. Here's hoping she can maybe take part in the upcoming women's tournament and come back to either NXT or the main roster.


Question: "When you were in school did you ever witness a really good school fight and if so what happened?"

Answer: Funny enough, the other day, some kid in my alma mater just hit some other kid with a dumbbell, so that's crazy. I never saw it happen but when I was in high school, some kid threw another one through a window. All of the fights I personally witnessed were lame.


Question: "Tony how are doing after the hellacious month for you? How was sleep after that?"

Answer: The day after WrestleMania, that Monday night, I started having a high blood pressure situation and for a week and a half after that, I've been dealing with breathing problems and stuff, but that's essentially over now. There's been a few more hours of sleep than I normally get after I forced myself to take some more time off, so that's good lol. Thanks for asking, Peter!

Question: "Is sheamus a face or a heel I really don't know any more?"

Answer: Definitely a face, although I wouldn't be shocked at all to see him turn heel sometime over the next few months.

Question: "With the recent nxt call ups only three names from wwe 2k17 are still in nxt. Where and when would you like aska hideo Itami and Blake and Murphy to show up on the main roster?"

Answer: Asuka needs to go to SmackDown, for sure, and hopefully not too long after TakeOver: Chicago. Hideo Itami still needs seasoning in NXT for a good while, if not a solid year. Blake and Murphy at this point might as well be released and I wouldn't be disappointed at all.

Question: "Do you think cena and Nikki are actually getting married? I'm convinced this is a total Bella or wrestling show wedding"

Answer: I think a lot of this relationship is fabricated, like most Hollywood couples who live in front of the press, but I do think they'll legitimately get married.

Question: "Do you like on the hall of fame red carpet that real couples are shown? Do you want cass to kick Ellsworth ass for Carmella?"

Answer: I really do love seeing that aspect, as the Hall of Fame to me is a non-kayfabe sort of night, similar to the window behind the scenes we see in documentaries and such.

Question: "Do you think when wwe helps the hardys become broken they will attempt to buy impact wrestling their money after I think? Do you think we will see another final deletion match on the hardy compound in wwe? Do you think we see Matt's zoo animals or the lake of reincarnation in wwe?"

Answer: I think the current regime for Impact Wrestling is too stubborn to sell to WWE and Vince lost his chance for at least a little while. I do think WWE will try to do some version of that gimmick, though, similar to how we had The Club and The Balor Club instead of The Bullet Club. Maybe when they drop the titles, they snap, turn heel and go crazy or something.

Question: "Do you think we are getting a shield reunion now that they are all on raw? Do you that is the only way for Roman to get cheered?"

Answer: 100% guaranteed somewhere down the line. There's no way WWE will have those three on the same brand and not team them up for a reunion at least on Raw, if not on a pay-per-view.

Question: "Are the smarkies the award show of the year or is wwe holding a slammy award this year? Was the shake up the draft? How would you do the draft if not? I'd have the brands fight winner gets the pick"

Answer: It certainly feels like the Superstar Shake-Up was this year's draft, but maybe they'll have another after SummerSlam or so if they feel the need to correct any problems that arise. This whole situation with the Slammy Awards is really annoying to me as I don't understand why they didn't have it last year or at least before or after WrestleMania. I personally like the draft when it doesn't have matches that determine lottery picks and such, but to each his own.

Question: "With z! True comeback story will Zack Ryder be holding gold upon his comeback? I think at tlc he's winning the wwe title"

Answer: I don't have a lot of faith in a title run for him in 2017, but never say never.

Question: "With the tag division shaking up which team from nxt or outside wwe do you want to see on the main roster? I will cheat and just say James storm because bobby Roode is with wwe already beer money if not decay and they have to be brays lackies"

Answer: I don't know if they're still a team or not, but Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels would be great additions to NXT right now.

Question: "John cena has lost 3 times at wrestle mania. Cena has since defeated rock and miz at mania. Are we getting the orton vs cena or a three way with triple h to right his first lose?"

Answer: I really, really hope not, and I don't think that will be the case. Right now, my long form guess is Cena will face Reigns at WrestleMania and Orton will face Styles, Corbin or Nakamura.

Question: "How do you think new day will work without kofi? Will New day become the longest smackdown live tag team champions?"

Answer: A few video packages and some time off until Kingston returns, I think.

Question: "My social class we are talking about being and how not to be an asshole. Why am thinking about you guys the entire class? Why didn't callen not come to mind?"

Answer: I've always said I don't consider myself an asshole, but I'm definitely a prick haha. Calen's probably the nicest out of all of us (outside of Angie and Caroline) so that makes a lot of sense, actually. Now I'm curious which one was at the forefront of the asshole brigade as it could very much be any of us.

Question: "With wwe making up with people who do you want wwe to makeup with next?"

Answer: Owen Hart's wife, so we can get him inducted into the Hall of Fame next year along with Davey Boy Smith and Jim Neidhart. They can all go in together as The Hart Foundation with Nattie, Jim and Bret all speaking.

Question: "How are you doing catching gen 2 Pokémon in Pokémon go?"

Answer: I deleted Pokemon Go only a few weeks after I had initially installed it. I found it too unrewarding for the time and effort behind it.

Question: "Who do you think will fill in for booker t at payback? I think jerry and Sam Roberts/Rosenburge"

Answer: Agreed on Rosenberg or Roberts.

Question: "Do you think sin cara is on smackdown because simion gotch is gone?"

Answer: You know, I hadn't thought about that, but maybe there's something to it. I don't think that's the specific reason they moved him over, but I can see that it might have been a reason why they weren't on the same brand to begin with and now that he's gone, it's no longer an issue they have to work around.

Question: "Did you know dean and Renee where engaged? I had no idea. Do you think we will see the secrete wedding on total divas? Do you think they named their dog Blue after Blue from Blues clues? Do you think Dean enters maina 34 with the intercontinental title and breaks honkey mans record?"

Answer: I had no idea what was going on behind the scenes with them as a couple outside of how they had been dating for a while. No chance on Ambrose breaking that record. I think he'll lose the belt by September, if not sooner.


Question: "Since the Universal Championship is likely not to be featured on Raw until at least SummerSlam, is it possible that another belt be introduced, like when the Undisputed Championship went to Smackdown in 2002? (I'm a Big Gold Belt fan)?"

Answer: I don't think so. I'm really holding out hope that SummerSlam is when Brock Lesnar drops the title to pretty much anybody, whether or not it's Roman Reigns, and even though that's enough time that it's frustrating not to have a champion, they might be able to get by without it causing too much of an issue. If he's keeping it until WrestleMania, then maybe, but it would have to be some other kind of title instead of a world title—maybe the Raw Television Championship or whatever.


Question: "Do you think The Shinning Stars can and should be taken seriously as a tag team if Carlito comes back and becomes their manager?"

Answer: Carlito's the only thing I can think of that can turn them around. They sucked as Epico and Primo with Rosa Mendes, then their big push as Los Matadores lasted about a week and they've sucked from the start as The Shining Stars. With Carlito, though, he can give them some credibility, although I think they'll still struggle a bit even with him.

Question: "What is the best way to repackage Tyler Breeze to become a decent midcarder instead of a jobber?"

Answer: I don't think he necessarily needs repackaging, but rather, just an act of confidence on the writing team. Anybody who is booked to be a guaranteed total loser on the rare occasions they aren't left off the card has no chance of getting anywhere, and he's talented enough for a decent run and at least a midcard title reign, yet they're wasting him. The same applies to Fandango, for that matter, and a handful of others who are being overlooked.
